  4. Window Perf Problem

This week we sent our installers out for a window perf job. It was the first time we've used Solvex perf (70/30) and we used Clear Focus laminate. They called me during installation to say something didn't look right and I went over and saw the issue. We haven't installed a ton of window perf...

  6. Music in the hills

Sorry I don't have a suggestion but I can tell you that you probably aren't going to get many responses with PDF. If you can post JPGs people are more likely to respond. Allen

  8. any old WWF wrestling fans here?

  9. Sign post remover?

To add to Bob's recommendation, Hi Lift has actually designed a product for this application. It is the Hi Lift Post Popper (PP-300). I did a quick Google search and it looks like you can purchase one for around $70. Just another thought. Allen
  10. Epson GS6000

Ditto.....not yet 10 years but similar experience here. Our GS6000 was installed by Advantage on January 4th of this year. There are some small issues from time to time but when it comes to speed, print quality, and ease of maintenance, this printer is GREAT!! We have had a some issues with...
  11. 3M 8915 Ultra Matte

Hexis does make some great wrapping cast but they do not make an ultra-matte laminate like the 8915. Hexis does make a cast matte laminate for wraps but it's going to be more like the 8920. Allen
  12. Looking for Oracal 3551 RA or similar to fit my 1204

Man Bigfish, as a posting member you should know that Advantage is a Merchant Member. I would imagine one of their employees is a regular member here and didn't see the harm in recommending Advantage since they are a Merchant. Allen
  13. Looking for Oracal 3551 RA or similar to fit my 1204

I order most of my Oracal from Advantage Sign Supply (merchant member). I'm pretty sure they stock 3551RA in 48". I know it's listed in their catalog. They should also have a warehouse that is one-day ship to you. Good luck. Allen
  14. 3M 8915 Ultra Matte

I have not used the 8915 laminate but I have seen it in use. It was used for the American Wrap Star competition at the ISA show last month. You can kind of see the end result on the 3M Graphics Facebook page (pics here). From what I saw, I don't know how you could get a more dull matte. The...
  15. Wrap Design Help/Critique

Yes, it does show up much better in person and today happened to be the sunniest/hottest day of the year (so far). It was surprising though to see how much more vibrant the colors were once we pulled it out of the bay. Allen
  16. Wrap Design Help/Critique

It is Finished A while back many of you help critique a design I was working on for a local florist. We finished up the wrap today and I wanted to share some pics of the final product. It is 3M IJ180Cv3 w/ 8518 laminate printed on our Epson GS6000. The perf is ClearVue Classic Vue 50/50 with...
  17. Size... matters.

Is that box truck wrap going to be vertical or horizontal panels? Allen
  18. Wrapping a car for $120 bucks

Mason - The Hexis HX3000 comes in 54" rolls and is not anywhere close to that price. On average, the Hexis HX20000 (standard colors/metallics) & HX30000 (mattes, carbon fiber, & pearls) are cheaper than Oracal but not dirt cheap. The Hexis would be at least 3X higher than the price he listed...
  19. Wrapping a car for $120 bucks

The guy did a nice job on the install but I'm skeptical on his pricing. He said he used Oracal and a 25yd x 48" piece (300 sq/ft). It should be 970RA which only comes in 60" and would be about 4X the price of ALL of his materials. Oracal 631 would fit his price range but it only comes in a...
