  1. Bad Logo Help

Here was one thing I tried on the blue. I changed the font to not appear so "scrutched", changed the wall to white (she asked to see that), and changed the leaves to green (per her request). Allen
  2. Bad Logo Help

Here is an unfortunate logo that I am supposed to use to work miracles. This logo was "designed" by the business owner's wife who hand sketched it. A friend of mine (who is a respected designer) vectorized the logo and designed their business cards, which we printed. She now wants the logo on...
  3. I know you're not supposed to wrap with calendered...

We tend to only use vinyl that is approved for the application and there are a handful of calendered (high performance calendered if you chose to use that verbage) recommended for vehicle graphics. For example, if the manufacturer doesn't approve a vinyl for use on rivets, we don't apply it on...
  4. Recent Wrap

I probably would've made the logo bigger as well, but I didn't have any say in the design. Thanks, Allen
  5. Recent Wrap

It's been a while since I've posted any jobs but here is a full wrap (no roof) we finished a couple of weeks ago. This is a medical supply company that is part of the large local hospital. This wrap was designed by a local graphics company that works with their marketing department. Once we...
  6. Less is more wrap

I really like the overall design and thing it is very eye-catching and clean. The only nit-picky thing to me is that the back door text looks cramped to me. The top logo is the hinge, there is a lot of background visible in the middle and then the bottom text doesn't have much breathing room...
  7. Finding the Right RED

I have a pulling tractor to wrap (yes, the same one as in another post) and the frame of the tractor is painted Duplicolor Victory Red which is based off a Chevy paint color from years past. I'm attempting to closely match that color with the printed wrap. I've tried several Pantone reds and...
  8. Banner material and EPSON GS6000 help

We mainly use Ultraflex Jetflex FL banner material, matte and gloss, 38", 54", and 63". We set our heaters at Pre - 39, Platen - 35, Post - 35. Also, make sure your platen gap (head height lever) is in the highest position. I occasionally have a head strike but rarely. Good luck. Allen
  9. Pro Bond Adhesive Promoter

My intent is not to slather the whole tractor with adhesion promotor but to hit some of the problem areas much like Primer 94. From the responses here it looks like Adhesion Promotor is a good product and a good alternative to Primer 94. Thanks for the help. Allen
  10. Pro Bond Adhesive Promoter

Josh - I use 3165RA for all of my flat signs and have used 3951RA on a couple of wraps. I know you've used, and raved about, the new 3751RA. I've heard it is less aggressive than 3951RA and that led me to wonder if there is any compromise on less wrap-friendly surfaces (i.e. primered vehicle)?
  11. Pro Bond Adhesive Promoter

I am wondering if any of you use, or have used, the Pro Bond Adhesive Promoter (available from Fellers)? I have a pulling tractor to wrap which is primered. We've wrapped a car with primered hood & fenders with no problems using IJ180C-v3. The tests I've tried on this tractor are not sticking...
  12. Media for GS6000

We've had a GS6000 for two years. Below is a list of what we use. I've tried lots of different brands/types of media and these work for us. Poster paper: Sihl 3686 (no paper looks as good as vinyl but this works for us) Banner: Ultraflex Jetflex FL 13oz Matte and Gloss Optima...
  13. Just venting...

I know everyone is calling for Papyrus but I really think Trajan Pro would work better...and maybe put the "LLC" in Curlz MT just to make sure it doesn't get too kid-like. Allen
  14. Name Those Fonts Please

Working on a sponsor list and need help with a couple of fonts. I know the L and S on the #1 have been modified. Any ideas? Thanks, Allen
  15. Font Help Please

I'm attempting to find this font. I realize the original may not have the grunge effect. Thanks, Allen
  16. Channel Letter Font

I need to find this font. It should be easy but I'm not having any luck. Client wants to swap out some letters and update the sign. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Allen
  17. Script Font ID

    Thank you! Much appreciated. Allen
  18. Script Font ID

Any of you happen to recognize this font? Thanks in advance. Allen
  19. Gator Vector

I am looking for a vector version of this gator clip art. I've looked through Action Illustrated and searched the Rival Art and iStock photo websites to no avail. I was just wondering if someone might know where this can be purchased. I also want to mention that I am aware and capable of...
  20. Side Mirror Issue

One issue with these that we haven't had on other mirrors is that there is no room to tuck the vinyl around the trim ring. On some mirrors you can push/tuck the vinyl between the housing and the trim ring which seem to help but there is no space on these. There wasn't even enough space to help...
