  1. Recycling Ink Cartridges

I'm looking for the same thing. I'm not a big shop, but have 25 or 30 eco-sol carts that need to go somewhere. Also quite a few empty laser toners, and some image drums. Okidata used to send a return shipping label in the box for empty toners...and they stopped doing it. Maybe for safety...
  2. Removing Eco-Sol Ink

    Rapid remover also works
  3. Windows 7 64 bit

When I got my new windows 7 computer and installed my older versaworks software and installed all the updates, it did work, but it wouldn't install the print driver to print straight from Corel. I had to save the file as a pdf, jpeg, etc.. and import the file into versaworks. In order to print...

Hi Rick, I went to your site..but didn't see a new member sign-up button. Is it on the front page somewhere? Thanks, Tony McDonald
  5. Question about custom contour cutting decals

If you can match the background color the decal will go on, you could do a larger contour around everything and give it the background color. This would keep your shadows more realistic.
  6. Can I print on inkjet vinyl with my photo printer?

Some of those epsons have holders for rolled material...does that one? You could get a 24" roll, and have them cut it into a 13" roll and an 11" Fix a little holder near the feed, and let it roll feed. Put a little slicer on the back...and you're all set.
  7. Can I print on inkjet vinyl with my photo printer?

You should be able to print on any aqueous material. You can probably find coated vinyl in 24" wide rolls. You can print using either ink set, but the pigmented ink will last a bit longer outside. For the longest life outdoors, pigmented ink, encapsulate the print under laminate with a 1/4"...
  8. Honest opinion on a printer ?

I don't know much about this printer, but from searching it can use ultrachrome inks or photo dye inks. The ultrachrome should add some uv stability to the prints that the dye inks won't have. Looks like a decent printer for indoor stuff. Most times I've seen printers moved, they take out the...
  9. Goldrush Alaska

From what I saw the other night, watching that 15 year old kid pan would be a much better show.
  10. scaling strokes in Corel

Thanks! I will fix it tomorrow.
  11. CDR to PDF

I usually print from Corel staight to Versaworks without having to save the file again. Works good...why don't more do it this way? The pdf's print fine for me without any special tweeking in versaworks, but I'm not overly picky. Also rgb jpegs at 150 dpi prints nice. Often when theres...
  12. scaling strokes in Corel

I hardly ever use strokes in corel. The scale with image works fine for me in X3, but it's another step, and often it squares off the tips of corners. If there's a way to set "scale with image" as default it would help... never could find a way to default it. I use the contour tool instead...
  13. Tiff vs eps

  14. versacamm cutting order?

When it was setup in Corel Draw, I duplicated the 1.5" decals across the page to 28" wide. Then I grouped those and duplicated them into 20 rows down. All the same decal except different colors. This gave me a page about 28" wide by 28" tall. Versaworks is skipping around on each original line...
  15. versacamm cutting order?

Roland Versacamm sp300v and Versaworks 4.0 When doing a print and cut on small labels, is there a setting for optimizing the cutting order? It doesn't cut them in order...it skips around from here to there. These are small ovals of different colors that were duplicated in the original artwork...
  16. Windows 7

Just went through this a couple months ago. The older version of Versaworks will work fine with windows 7, as long as you save the file to pdf, jpeg, etc. then import that file into versaworks. You will need to get he versaworks 4.0 software from Roland if you want to the print driver to install...
  17. Overlapping Laminate

So you are laminating a backlit print, and your print is one full piece but your wanting to seam the laminate? In my experience with backlit stuff...it shows everything. I think you will see the one inch seam. If you did have to seam it, maybe about 1/4" overlap and try to the seem on an element...
  18. Info on my business insurance.

According to my internet search, Arizona only gets about 5 inches of rain in a year! We can get close to that in a day...so I just wouldn't work that day.
  19. Can a laminator apply vinyl cut lettering?

Yes, and it does a nice job. Just be careful of the substrate you are using....materials like alumalite often have a burr on the edge, and might do bad things to the rollers.
  20. Fill patterns from .psd to DRAW??

I just tried it and you should be able to load .psd files without resaving. I exported a .psd from corel, and it let me load it into the bitmap fills just fine.
