  1. Trying to settle on a printer for home production decals.

I know aqueous is frowned upon here, but with laminated prints we get 5+ years external sunlit life (London, not Coventry). We run through a few rolls of IJM538 (80micron, monomeric) with Drytac Photosatin UV (40micron), each month - we get rich, vibrant, detailed prints that pass for gallery...

Just remember which hand is grounded!
  6. Static on pallets of Palram Palight 3mm PVC

6mm DiBond is even better - damned huge body jolting capacitor. Fortunately we don't seem to have many dry days in London. I've not found insulating myself from ground (decent multi trade boots) helps much - I get the feeling that static prefers flesh to plastic - got zapped right in the middle...
  7. adhering dibond to wood

Screw DiBond or aluminiium strips to the wood backer, then VHB tape between these and the DiBond panel

  11. printing on oracal 651

Hey Lynn, I've been researching endlessly through myriad sources to find out whether I can print, etch or engrave upon a reflective or non-reflective medium or media, a patern that will deter Arachnida from the subphylum Chelicerata from developing, building or constructing silken strings other...
  12. Our Seal 62 Base will not run in normal mode.

The optical sensor is the chrome device with the fetching green cap, attached to the top roller mounting plate. First time I had one fail, it was a £100 part, and took half an hour to user replace (different manufacturer, almost certainly same family of part). Second time I got stuck in...
  13. A new level of creepy

Luxury yachts and genetically modified mice. They know much that I don't about me.
  14. Question what manual cutter do i want?

Rotatrim technical. The clamping strip is raised when the cutting head gets to either end of the rail. Not cheap, but lasts forever, and when you break something, they have spares for all parts. Or go for a power cut Just had a quick play with an old Rotatrim - I feed and cut both ways, both...

  17. How to talk to unhappy employee’s.

Those poor, innocent little squiggles being cruelly collected by the evil Apo's, caught and caged, slaughtered, stuffed and mounted on oak and wallnut plaques and hung on walls. Enough. We must rise up with our Oxford English, our Webster's and our Brewster's, to prevent any more of these poor...
  18. How fancy do I need? (Xrite i1, Spyder or ??) FB700/Roland XR640

I've still got a Rev-D (i1pro v1) that works just fine. Hundreds of profiles run over the years. I don't believe the Pro2 basic will create printer profiles - I think you need the publish version. The Pro2 also has that lovely soft touch rubber plastic on them that turns to goop.
