  1. RVW won't open file

Nevermind, I got it. By a process of elimination, I deleted one of each of the three components of the file, one at a time and exported. It was one particular contour that was causing the problem, so I just drew a new rectangle (instead of the previous radiused rectangle) and it worked. Whew!
  2. RVW won't open file

I've created a small, simple vector file for some print & cut decals, but RVW won't open it for some reason. I get an error message saying: "Stopped processing the input file [file location & name] The File is corrupted." RVW will open other older eps files, but not this one, and I feel that...
  3. Black printing

I recently tried that, and had a strange experience where the co-pec file I created would not attach to an email.
  4. RVW color palette alternative?

Another thought: Is there a way to extract the RVW palette that is built into VW? If so, we could convert them from spot to CMYK in Corel or Illy.
  5. Black printing

Because of the higher carbon content of the Black Roland ink, the K-heads are notorious for going south and needing replacement. I replaced one on my SP-540i just over a year ago, and after 6 months it started to fail. No help from Roland either. You could try printing at high quality, and...
  6. RVW color palette alternative?

Thanks! I'm going to try this. I see that the default color mode (Layout > Page setup > General) is set to RGB; should that be set to CMYK, or does it matter?
  7. RVW color palette alternative?

    Nope.
  8. RVW color palette alternative?

Tools > Macros > Run Macro, I got an error window, and now when I try it again, "Run Macro" is greyed out. ???
  9. RVW color palette alternative?

I don't know what you mean.
  10. RVW color palette alternative?

As explained in another thread, my Roland SP-540i has developed lines (yet again) in RVW colors, 6 months after installing a new K-head. It prints RGB and CMYK colors perfectly (from CorelDraw 7), but strangely, always has lines in the RVW spot colors, and this is what I like to use for...
  11. Do I require a new K head?

Thanks. I'm no expert on these machines, but I'm wondering how & why an alignment issue with the capping station would result in the banding lines when printing. Also, as I noted, the CMYK and RGB colours print perfectly, it's only the RVW colors that have the lines, and this to me is just...
  12. Do I require a new K head?

Thanks for chiming in. The environment of my printer is painfully clean, so I don't think that's an issue. The new head printed RVW colors clean for a few months, but then the lines started appearing again. I've been trying a pile of different settings when test-printing these three different...
  13. Do I require a new K head?

Sorry to resurrect this old thread again, but this is driving me bonkers. As mentioned earlier, my new K head started giving the "lines" once again, about 6 months after installation. But what's perplexing me is that it's only doing it on RVW colors. To explain further, this is what I've just...
  14. Narrow sandwich boards?

Yes, it's looking like that might be the best option, I was just hoping to avoid the Velcro, in preference for a slide-in type like the SimpoSign.
  15. Narrow sandwich boards?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think that the area where the sign goes is recessed. Also, these signs are going to be used in a public swimming pool area, and get tossed around a bit by staff, so a track would likely get broken. In the past I've custom-made them 16" x 16" 6mm Sintra SBs with...
  16. Narrow sandwich boards?

Are you able to slide the poly in, or does it need to be stuck on?
  17. Narrow sandwich boards?

Anybody know of a supplier of narrow molded plastic sandwich boards which would be about 12" to 16" wide (x whatever height)? The Plasticade Minicade 12" x 24" requires the sign to be stuck to the frame, so that's no good for my customer, they need to be able slide a coro sign in & out, as with...
  18. This?

Thanks for the suggestions. As to be expected with this sort of typeface, there are going to be many that are similar, as those are, but too many differences to be a match. Maybe it's simply not a font.
  19. This?

I got nothing using FMF, What Font Is, and WhatTheFont.
  20. CMYK switching to RVW in X7

Nope, no fix. I put it on the CorelDraw forum as well with no luck.
