your disk from Roland will have the metallic color library on it. You need to copy it into your swatches folder. After that, you need to watch some of the roland videos on youtube that explain how to get the effects you are looking for.
ML Campbell Clawlock paint / primer. I've used 50 gallons of this stuff on various POP displays. Its amazing. High solids and typically seals in one coat. You can also buy it tinted so all you have to do is a base coat then clear.

As for G code being like the Matrix, I agree, but when I started programming these things, we still had to do some editing in G code. I used to be able to look at every line and tell you what the machine was doing…… Would that make me Neo????
I have a buddy that does this. Basically custom designs are non existent. you pick from a book and thats what you get. Its pretty neat when combined with paint and used as accents and such.
That tank he's dipping into, stainless with 90 degree water in it…. the tank alone will run you 2...
feeds and speeds need to be calculated based on the bit. I would treat it like running soft plastic.
For example.
I would V groove HDPE using a 1/4" 45 greg bit @ 300ipm @ 18,000 rpms. Those speeds I would cut 1/2 the depth and then run a finish pass.
