  1. Can I import a jpeg of eps file and work on it in corel x3 ?

Maybe post a picture of what you need and you may get more suggestions. :)
  2. Can I import a jpeg of eps file and work on it in corel x3 ?

Your file needs to be a VECTOR file in order to cut it, so, yes, you need to trace it
  3. Roland xc540

OOPS! Just took a closer look at your test print. There may be damaged or deflected nozzles there. :(
  4. Roland xc540

*I am not a technician. We've had our XC 540 for 7 years now, and NEVER had prints that bad. Good news is, your test print doesn't show any "deflected" nozzles, as far as I can see, so they they are probably just badly clogged. Try a head soak (search this forum for that!) Hopefully that will...
  5. Roland metallic inks with heat transfer?

Hi. Will Roland metallic inks work on heat transfer material? Going to try a test later today or tomorrow, but thought I would ask here first. Thanks
  6. Roland SC 540 test print result

*I AM NOT A TECHNICIAN* Still looks like it might be the encoder strip giving you problems, though, on your first test print you do have some deflected nozzles, especially in the black, so this could be an issue as well. If you have a magnifying glass, take a look at the over spray to see what...
  7. Temporary graphics on escalator handrails...

Never seen graphics on the hand grip before. Would think there might be a safety issue there?
  8. Boat wrap

We ARE using the 1005 SC Easy RS. Talked to a few people and they have had good luck with it. As you say, edge sealing is important and we will definitely do that. Will strips of laminate work, or does anybody suggest something else? We have used laminate strips on wraps before, but never done a...
  9. Boat wrap

This is what we are putting on the boat, both sides, 225" long. Printed one side this morning, just about to print side 2. Using Avery 1005 Mark
  10. Printing with SolJet Pro III on Avery HV1200

I print on HV1200 all the time, no issues so far. Make sure your heat is on, and turned up. I use the Arlon DPF 6000 RIPC profile that I installed for our prints on Arlon. Gives excellent results on HV1200. We always laminate too. Mark
  11. Power Clip vector object into vector object?

Powerclip can be used for raster or vector. When you go to wireframe and see nothing, that is normal because your object is "inside" a container. If you want to retain "visibility" in wire frame mode, do as J Hill Designs suggested. Mark
  12. Roland SC 540 test print result

*I AM NOT A TECHNICIAN* Lift the front cover of your printer and look up inside. You will see a clear "plastic" strip running the full width of your printer. That is the encoder strip. It basically tells the print head where it is. To clean it, VERY CAREFULLY, wipe with a clean swab or lint free...
  13. Anyone have a PMS color chart with pms number and 'c' for coated?

I opened jfiscus' chart in VersaWorks, and it recognized all the PMS colours. Most of them are out of gamut, but they are there. Mark
  14. Band Poster

Nice! I love the "cola rocket" on his back.
  15. Roland SC 540 test print result

Had a similar problem with our XC-540 (not the test print, the over spray). Had the encoder strip replaced and it fixed the problem. You could try cleaning the encoder strip first (if you haven't done that already. :) ) Mark
  16. Band Poster

Like you said, not the easiest to read, but I love it anyway. Though I did read "Betty Don'ts" as Betty Donts". Don't see the apostrophe. Great job. Mark
  17. Anyone have a PMS color chart with pms number and 'c' for coated?

Try here..... http://blog.coastalbusiness.com/how-to-print-color-swatches-in-coreldraw/ It's for X3 but basically the same for all versions I think Mark
  18. wtf?

    Looks like Papyrus
  19. Problems with 2 New XR-640 Printers

You would consider Roland a SOHO printer? Really?
  20. where do the graphics end?

Never wrapped a boat before, but we have one to do in a couple of weeks, but everything I have read says stay ABOVE the water line. You can't see it anyway when it's in the water. :)
