Flatbed printers do a nice job on aluminum blanks. Sometimes have to be cleaned with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Sometimes they need to be wiped with adhesion promoter. Flatbed printers use a UV light to cure the ink. but anything you put outdoors should be laminated. The first flatbed I ever used...
"2. where you start using K in the ICC. Start "earlier", IOW lower number for more efficient ink usage. Start "later", IOW higher number for smoother, less grainy printing. Early K start for UV would be between 10-40. Late K start for smoother printing would be around 40-60."
Could you expand...
On the Jeti 3150x2 I got some graininess that showed up
in my prints and I was wondering what causes it. It just started doing that. I'd like it to be smoother. Colors look good just needs to be not so grainy. I wrote a profile and it was worse but colors are good. Using Onyx 10.1/Uv Ink

I made a profile color looks nice but its a bit grainy. Anyone know
how to fix that? Im using a flatbed printer uv ink. Printing on Styrene.
Using Onyx 10.1 to profile with and the I1 from xrite.

Got the upgrade to 10.1 onyx Friday. I'll get to play with it more tomorrow. However it looks like I still have to upgrade the Eye 1 :(
Cause it seems to be stuck on 1 patch at a time instead of reading a whole row of patches at once.
Onyx Ver 10. $995 Eye One Basic Pro $995
Is it just me or is there a problem here?
Does anyone know if Onyx Version 10 is worth it?
Im starting to doubt this whole color thing. I think were being gouged.
Does anyone want to expand on this?:toasting:
Besides Flexi. What other design software works well with the I1? I want to be able to measure a single color from any type of material and place it in the artwork. I currently have Onyx Rip, Illustrator,Photshop, Freehand.
Thx

Soaking the heads more often is good as mentioned above. Also I little trick I found was take a small squeeze bottle witha needle point on it. put that oem solvent you use to clean the heads with and carefully shoot solvent into the heads without touching them with the needle point. Especially...

Its on the Lower leftside of the printer. either back or side. inside you'll see a board find the one that has a battery size of a nickle or so. pull it out stick it back in. Turn your printer on see what happens.
There's a new problem everyday. Now the ink bucket has a problem going up. The screen says heads are capped. checked air, reset printer fixed it temporarily. Gandi Jeti 3150 x2. Out of Ideas.
