Cut files in illustrator
Programs like Adobe "Freehand" and other novelty software like that aren't even made anymore. Chances are you wouldn't even be able to install that on a new computer. Stick with Illustrator & Photoshop and you'll always be relevant.
If you want to make cut files...
Adobe
I would suggest Illustrator for the bulk of your work. Sticking with Adobe products (although morally wrong :) is your best bet as most people are used to some type of Adobe software to design artwork. Also, by committing to such an "industry standard" you ensure that your knowledge...
Imo
$185 installed. A little more than most of my local competition, but you want to weed out the cheap customers that will be coming back for you to letter a happy birthday balloon with PSL. (Actually happened to me)
We got to a point in our shop where we would make our minimum order $75...
Don't forget them. An occasional bag of feces on their doorstep should do the trick. Maybe every monday morning you could bring a local dog-walker by to deposit some goods for your neighbor.
Or you could just put it out of your mind and drink yourself to sleep every night. Your choice...
I would say 3M Controltac 180c or something similar. You could prob. even use Arlon DPF8000
Definitely get a Rolle Pro if you don't have one. I wouldn't even attempt this without one now days.
All of my filenames are under 100 characters. Example:
VZWNHL_17_NFC_Readers_PRINT.pdf
T:\1_Jobs\1_Current Jobs\VZW-NHL POD and TRAILER 10-14-13\Graphics\3_Final\1_Print\17_NFC Readers\VZWNHL_17_NFC_Readers_PRINT.pdf
Yes, it is referring to the directory path.
Note: I just closed...
I keep getting errors trying to open files located on my network drive because it says the filenames are too long. The only way to correct this is to copy file to desktop and open it from there.
Postershop RIP-Queue gives me the following error: "The file name: "T:\...blahblah" is too long...
I'm printing a wrap for a Honda FIT tomorrow and shipping it without actually measuring the vehicle at all. Has anyone printed one or does anyone have any insight as far as adding more bleed to certain areas that the "Pro Vehicle Outlines" template may not show accurately?
Any insight, tips...
Anyone have a suggestion for clear (transparent) printable vinyl for my Latex printer (L26500)?
I've been using Avery UC MPI 1060, but it is really expensive. Any other suggestions? (Cast or calendared)
Thanks Team!
Even if it worked for sheets, I would avoid at all cost
The warmup time for this printer is way too long to make printing on sheets feasible. Other than that, this printer is awesome.
Printer has been banding intermittently for the last day or two. After some trial & error and further analysis, it looks like I'm dropping nozzles as printing progresses. It initially seemed to be the Magenta (#5) ph, but it looks like I'm having problems with Y & K too (based on ph test...
I need help saving files for print properly. In turn, I need help choosing the appropriate settings in Onyx RIP.
Here is my typical setup:
Onyx Postershop 10.2
Illustrator CS6
HP L26500 Printer
Media: 3M 180C-10 ControlTac
The only color calibration that has been done, is from the on board...
spot graphics maybe?
$320 for the design maybe? Hand-painting with watercolors?
The only way I could see that as possible is if they were just doing spot graphics. There is absolutely no way in the world they are getting even a partial wrap for $320. They aren't matching apples to apples...
