  1. L25500 Print Quality Issue, help

    • Listen when the carriage is moving and make sure the printheads aren't hitting the "print head cleaning kit" or the ink funnel. That happened to me once on mine. It was time to replace the cleaning kit anyway, but for some reason the one that was in there got raised up just a tiny bit and...
  2. Side to side walking issues on a Seal base 62

black magic It depends... Tues - Thur are the best days to laminate long runs. Those laminators don't like to be bothered on Mondays or Fridays. :) I have the a Seal 54, the rollers are pretty beat up and I've got the tension cranked down pretty good, etc. etc. Some days I can get it to...
  3. L26500 Drying issue or ....?

I've noticed this on a few prints. It looks like it is a drying issue, but this happens even in white areas where there is no ink. It actually gives the print a matte finish in certain areas. I don't think it is rewetting, because it looks like this when it comes off the printer sometimes...
  4. L26500 Funnel problems

Clean it out If you don't have a new one handy, you can run it under hot water and clean off the old ink. You should be able to get it looking new again pretty easily.
  5. How much media do you print in a year on your machine?

Normally I print about 50-60k sq. ft. of graphics per year. Last week I ran 8,000 sq. ft. almost by myself. (I worked 20 hour days for a week straight). I think I ran my printer for 22 hrs./day last week. Thank god for latex! Needless to say, it was the week from hell. I'm just curious...
  6. Salespeople, how to

I worked at a franchise store where we were the first to hire a salesperson among all of the other stores (more than 200 stores). Needless to say, we were the model for the entire corporate structure from that point forward. It pains me to say this but, "a good salesperson is worth their...
  7. Printing issues on hp design jet L25500

+1 for head alignment. That is yellow overspray typically caused from heads not being aligned. If that doesn't work, you may need to change the yellow printhead all together.
  8. Where can I buy a template for a Land Rover LR4?

I just upgraded my Pro Vehicle Outlines subscription, but of course they don't have the Land Rover LR4. Anyone know where I can purchase? Thanks Team
  9. Window Frosting – Help! Need Some Info / Insight

HOSE that thing down If using 3M frosted/dusted crystal or anything similar make sure you hose it down with app fluid. Do not skimp on the app fluid! You don't want it to prematurely adhere to the window and then try and move it. I can not overstate how important it is to get both the window...
  10. Need help choosing printable wall media

Arlon DPF 8000 is pretty good too. It shrinks a bit, but it will definitely stick and isn't going to come off.
  11. Getting some business cards printed, What to put on them? Show me yours!

Less is more Less is more. We don't have walk-ins at my business so we decided not to put the address or even our office number on our cards. Anyone trying to contact us has a direct contact here or they will find us on the internet before we even give them a business card. This is prob. a...
  12. Problem with Oracal 3951 on Sprinter Van

My installers always cut those channels on sprinters and leave the "sidewalls" of the channels bare. Or, if it is a drastic color difference, they will lay down vinyl in the channel first. I could be wrong on this, but I really don't think 3951 or even 3M IJ180c (which I use) can handle that...
  13. Need some info on the HP 26500.

Hey WB The printer is pretty darn good on most materials EXCEPT - it sucks on cheap banner material. The heat will warp your print and give you a wavy pattern. Other than that, you just need to keep an eye out if the prints are coming out looking "oily" or if you can move the ink with your...

  16. Colors changing between computers...?

Colorspaces are all the same. So, I noticed that this happens with the files I get from one of my clients. It's almost like they have there own pantone library attached? I opened a new file from the designer and even though they have the color labeled as 1795C, it converts to yet another CMYK...
  17. Colors changing between computers...?

I have a file I made in Illustrator about 4 weeks ago. Just a block of 1795. I am making a new file with the same thing. But now, color is different between the two files. When I convert the old one in illustrator this is what I get. Old File ("AFA-12c-Trailer") : 8.98, 98, 92.97, 1.1...

  19. Exactly what's the machine doing? HP 26500 type machine....

very scientific answer It's heating up the dryers and the curing unit. Plus it also preheats the first part of the media. Also, it's doing some type of initialization with the media advance. I think.............. :) Sure sounds good regardless. It is a pain in the *** sometimes, but...
