  1. Die Cut Business Cards

Silk Cards can make these exact cards for right around $125.00 for a thousand pieces.

  3. Tech Fees

So they are actually charging you $153.15 for a trip fee? Seems a little steep to me considering you are ten minutes away. I had the cable replaced on my SP300V a few months ago and I think the bill was right around $400 or so. But, the tech drove more than an hour to get here. And I thought my...
  4. Guitar & Bass Templates

Does anyone know of or where I can find templates to wrap the faces and backs of guitars/basses? They will not be complete wraps just the faces. Just looking for the contoured shapes. Don't need all the holes and bridge cut out already, will do that by hand. Thanks.
  5. A little Illy help, please?

I know this is an old thread but I don't understand why you don't layout the vector design (sized) in Illustrator, then import into Photoshop and add your effects. As long as you merge your layers together (not flatten) and still have a transparent background, you can contour the design out...
  6. Cause that a die-cut decal comes off ?

I was gonna say Rain-X too. That is definitely the problem from my experience.
  7. frosted hell.

I will see what I can do about making a short video explaining the technique. It is not the center hinge method but is similar. Instead of taping right thru the center of the graphic, you would tape the left edge or right edge. So basically you can lay the vinyl down in one complete pass instead...
  8. Wrapping a BMW motorcycle gas tank

Hello. I have a customer that is wanting to wrap his 2012 BMW motorcycle gas tank. I don't know if you guys have seen this kind of tank but it doesn't look like your typical Harley tank. Has anyone been able to successfully wrap one of these tanks? If so, can you give me some tips? :peace!:
  9. frosted hell.

I did a 39"x92" project using frosted vinyl a few years back on a window that was inside a large bank lobby. I wanted to wet it up but my buddy showed me a technique where you tape the whole left side of the vinyl to the window and roll it up (reverse) to the tape. Make sure that tape is taped...
  10. frosted hell.

Next time, try cleaning it first ... I kid, I kid ;)
  11. Printing full bleed on reflective

One thing I like to do is print on optically clear laminate and overlay that on a good reflective film. Just about any of the 3M reflective vinyl works well. No drying time and all the reflectiveness.
  12. 3M IJ35C alternative

I have used 3165RA since the day it came out up until about 6 months ago. It is a great film and well worth the money. I do not have a bad thing to say about it. One day, a rep from a company called Kapco stopped in my shop and introduced me to their own "manufactured" air egress vinyl. They...
  13. Briteline lam. Defective?

Same thing used to happen to me when I used FDC films. Speaking of which, isn't Briteline a rebranded FDC film?
  14. Printing on Lexan

Yes it needs to be printed. Would be a lot cheaper considering it is 4 colors and the grey uses a distressed font.
  15. Printing on Lexan

Yeah, that's what I am trying to do (outsource that is). The problem with tiling a translucent print is that where the seam is, the print will be darker in the overlay location (when lit anyways). If you know a different way to do it without dealing with that problem, please share. A lot...
  16. Printing on Lexan

  17. Printing on Lexan

Yeah that's what I am thinking I was going to have to do. Was hoping to have it done in one piece though and my printer will not print in a six foot pass. The graphic is 6' tall and 8' wide. The rest of the panel is red translucent vinyl (no big deal there). I really don't want to have to panel...
  18. Printing on Lexan

Does anyone here print directly on Lexan? If so, can you print on sheets that are 6'x12' or 8'x12'? The print will need to be translucent as well. I don't know if it works out well using a flat bed or not. Can anyone help me out?
  19. looking for 12'x6' or 12'x8' translucent prints

I know it can be done because Lexjet makes material that wide. Besides that, I would really like to find someone to directly print a lexan face that wide. Know of anyone?
  20. looking for 12'x6' or 12'x8' translucent prints

I am looking for a company that can print me a single piece of 12'x6' translucent print with lamination. I want the double strike printing if possible. The size could also be as big as 12'x8' but needs to be a single piece even at that size. I would prefer a company that can print the lexan...
