  1. Question about BriteLine print media

I agree with what Mike said, although we do use the 2201 along with the Briteline Shield for economy, promotional stickers. With that combo we can give them a laminated product at a "give-away" price. FYI...the briteline shield was previously listed as a 3yr, indoor-outdoor, UV resistant...
  2. Do you people actually like Corel?

We've been using Corel since 2004. My son is in the final year of college majoring in graphic design and is required to do all of his projects in Illustrator because "that's what you are supposed to use if you are a graphic designer". Well he does them in Corel, exports them as eps files...
  3. Clean Cut Blade Signs 101 Discount Code?

It does say on their site that you have to call for the forum discount. I'm with you...it would be nice to be able to get it with online orders since I typically remember to order things either late at night or on weekends. If I have to wait until the next day to call I forget so I've just...
  4. Casket Wrap (COFFIN)

Why the biodegradable questions? Most caskets aren't biodegradeable so I don't think the small amount of vinyl on them is an issue.
  5. adobe to corel

As a Corel user I agree both with what you are doing (eps version 8 opens 99% of the time) and what Joe suggested....it's always nice to have something to compare the file to.
  6. GX-24 Print cut alignment?

Here's the deal....printing on a Versacamm using Versaworks. I have the GX-24 installed in Versaworks so we can use that as a backup cutter. If I print with registration marks and then cut in the Versacamm the cut is right on the money. But if I cut it with the GX-24 it's off almost 1/8" side...
  7. Need Corel File converted

dtgind at yahoo.com send it over
  8. Light whining noise on sp-300

No one? Darn. I really wanted to know the secret handshake.
  9. Box Truck "wrap"

    Nice!
  10. Light whining noise on sp-300

Okay...now you've got me curious...I can print a system report but that just shows the machine settings...how do you print the history part?
  11. Damn it's hot in here...

The "portable" a/c units that duct out a window are very inefficient. You're idea is by far the cheapest/best option but if you can't do that check into a split system. They aren't too expensive and only require a small hole in the building to run the tubing & control wiring through.
  12. What do you use for a laminator

Master Ak-600 for the past year. Very happy with it and the money I saved.
  13. Thoughts on Roland SP-540i

What???? If you don't buy it let me know. I don't need one but I'd buy it in an instant at that price!:notworthy:
  14. Does anyone get free shipping on their Banner Materials?

While it's not completely free I get very minimal shipping/handling charges from Grimco. For example, a 30" by 115 ft roll was $3.96
  15. Grimco Relabeled Brands ?

Just wondering why you don't like it reverse wound? Like mnapuran I prefer it that way. It keeps the media cleaner and I've never had an issue feeding it through a Versacamm.
  16. Do you people actually like Corel?

Wow...you just perfectly summed up how I feel every time I try to use Illustrator. Thank You!
  17. A present to you

Ordered 2 cases this morning. Just have to wait for UPS to haul them all the way across the country. :-(
  18. I swear this client has amnesia!

Can't wait to hear the reply! *LOL*
  19. Incomplete contour cut

Probably. I've thought about it but never actually tried it. *LOL* I figure the ink I waste on the hairline costs less than the vinyl I'd waste if it didn't work, plus since I can actually see the hairline before I export the eps for Versaworks I know I've actually created it, not just...
  20. Incomplete contour cut

It's somewhere in the queue settings. I find it's easier, for me anyway, to just add an additional contour of about .050" to the cut contour. It's just like a bleed but with a clear fill and hairline outline. That insures that the object you import into Versaworks is bigger than the cut line...
