  1. where to send suggestions about versa?

    Thanks Mike!
  2. Pictures of MX bikes you made graphics for!

Haven't tried it but, coincidently, was just discussing it last week. I can't see it very well in the picture though, how about a closeup?
  3. Pictures of MX bikes you made graphics for!

Thanks! I'll try and find some of the newer stuff we have done.
  4. where to send suggestions about versa?

Ahhhh...thanks. I'm running 3.0.2 so that explains it. Is the general consensus that 3.2.2 is a "safe" upgrade?
  5. Pictures of MX bikes you made graphics for!

A little late to the party but here's a couple old ones:
  6. dragon from magic sculpt

That is just plain awesome! I'm soooo jealous. Please post more pictures when it's completed.
  7. where to send suggestions about versa?

Where are you seeing the time estimate when setting quality? I don't see it there.
  8. Home made take up reel $20 or less

Well done! I like the banner "leader' idea also. Usually I just wait until there's enough material printed to reach the tube and then tape it.
  9. Help with CorelDraw X3

You can trace it as suggested but usually I find it quicker to create the shape from scratch using the bezier tool and then adjusting the nodes until I'm satisfied. It's often quicker to do it that way then to clean up the mess created by tracing. If you are going to trace (convert) it then I...
  10. Silver Medal on Gerber LT Transfer, FX...

Contact Mike Koval from Imprintables. He's a merchant member here. He may be able to get it punched for you. If not then you can try Thermoflex Plus from Specialty Materials. I like the Eco Film better but I know I've gotten Thermoflex in 15" punched rolls previously.
  11. Silver Medal on Gerber LT Transfer, FX...

I'm not sure that the picture represents your "typical" application (everything chrome) but if it does why not just use something like eco-film and skip the printing step, as well as the transfer taping, altogether? Cut in reverse, weed, and apply.
  12. Cut contour around an outline (x4)

Yup, what Brian said. Get use to using contours instead of outlines. In X3 you get to the contour menu by going to the "Window" tab then "Dockers" then "Contour". Select the proper parameters (inner our outer contour, size, number of contours. I usually don't bother with selecting the color...
  13. Printing a Photo 20X30

We've had good results printing on InteliCoat Postermax paper. You can get a 54" by 20 foot roll from Fellers for $20 to try it out. Much cheaper than the Roland paper.
  14. Combining 220 and 440 ink cartridges?

Thanks guys! I didn't think it would be a problem but couldn't find anything in the Roland info that actually said you could do it.
  15. Combining 220 and 440 ink cartridges?

I just looked at my ink levels and I'm getting low on cyan and magenta. We currently have 440ml carts for all colors installed. Is it okay to get 220ml replacements for the 2 colors I'm low on and use them alongside the 440 carts for the yellow and black? Thanks!
  16. Question about laminating die-cut decals

Back to your question....The Versacamm makes it pretty simple to print, laminate, then contour cut. It prints registration marks and then, when you return the laminated sheet to the printer, finds the marks and does the contour cutting. I've found it to be very accurate. As far as whether you...
  17. Problem Weeding Orajet 3651G

One other suggestion....I personally haven't done this with the Oracal 3651 but I have found it makes a huge difference when weeding heat transfer material. Cool the material down before you try to weed it! We were printing heat transfers during the winter and were having a tough time weeding...
  18. CorelX3 vehicle templates

I've asked this same question and not received a reply. I've also done Google searches using every combination of wording I can think of with no success. If there is a directory for those outlines it sure is doing a good job of hiding! *LOL*
  19. Problem Weeding Orajet 3651G

We cut 3651G regularly with our versacamm and use 50 grams of pressure. Are you cutting this laminated or unlaminated? If it's without laminate I believe your cutting force is much too high...you really shouldn't be scoring the backing. Even with 8 mil laminate we're only at 130 grams. I do...
