Outsource the printing to someone like Merritt or Signs365 and just do the install. They will know what you need as they do this sort of thing every day.
Gene,
I went through the same process when we switched from 3165RA to IJ35C-10. The main reason for the change had nothing to do with being unhappy with Oracal, I was just getting away from "the cowboy" moving to a local supplier that carried 3M but not Oracal. For a while I also wondered if I...
I don't know that this is the best way to do the job but here is what you are thinking of....awning track. They also have the "rope" section that can be sewn onto the top edge of the banner rather than trying to incorporate it into the banner...
No problem my friend, I don't have a lot of friends on FB but I think I got you around 15 votes so far and some of my younger friends (the ones with LOTS of friends) are sharing the link. You are back in the lead and hopefully we can keep you there!
Just wondering if anyone has tried using their laminator to slit vinyl? Ours has a powered takeup for the backing paper and friction clutch for the laminate supply roll. If we ran the vinyl directly from the supply to the takeup it would be a simple matter of mounting (or holding by hand for...
We regularly cut down rolls of lam with a power miter saw using the standard carbide blade. Wrap the roll tightly with masking tape at the cut line and plunge the saw slowly.
Not that it's needed but Merritt Has my endorsement also. We use them very infrequently (would love to more but don't have the demand) but I'm always impressed by both the pricing and service.
Example....we haven't ordered anything from them since back in the spring. Just sent an email to...
....the scammers can find you! *LOL* Mr. Johnston wants to buy t-shirts from us! Email:
Hello Sales,

I agree. We also currently have a 30" printer but for the price difference between a 30" laminator and a 65" in my opinion it was a no brainer to get the 65". Someday we may upgrade to a wider printer but I doubt we will ever go over the capacity of the 65" laminator.
Unless you are doing REALLY thick stuff (like MX graphics) you shouldn't need more than 1 pass.
I don't think you answered the question about what vinyl/lam are you cutting. If you give that info I'm sure someone can get you settings that will work.
