  1. Tools to remove "security Fasteners"

Thank you! I didn't think there was any chance they'd be available locally. I'll start calling the hardware stores.
  2. Tools to remove "security Fasteners"

I'm looking to remove the door of of the trailer we are wrapping and the hinges are attached with security fasteners that look like a torx but they have a post sticking up in the center so you would need the correct size torx bit with a hole in the center of it to clear the post. Any idea where...
  3. Us tech laminator

Can anyone tell what the difference is functionally between the MJ series and the AK series? The AK looks neater without the arms sticking up but I don't see anything in the specs that indicates you get more features in the AK series. If they are both the same from an operational viewpoint why...
  4. Trailer wrap questions

I just tallied up the opinions and right now it's 8 to 6 in favor of "wrap over them", A question for those that do it that way and use the Rollepro......I've seen several videos of how you heat and roll the rivet/screw area but I haven't seen one that shows the step before that, how you get to...
  5. Trailer wrap questions

Gino, you say personal preference and there is no right or wrong way. But reading the rest of your post something tells me you don't really feel that way.
  6. Trailer wrap questions

Thank you guys. It's about what I figured on the screws, pretty close to 50/50 on remove or cover. Whenever I've done large logos on this type of trailer I've removed and reinstalled the screws so that's the way I'm leaning for the wrap. My only real concern was, because of the full coverage...
  7. Trailer wrap questions

We're looking at doing a full wrap on a cargo trailer. I'm not sure what brand but picture your typical Carmate or Haulmark trailer with screwed on, overlapping aluminum siding. Question #1....is it standard procedure to cut the vinyl at the point where one aluminum panel overlaps the...

I'm in. My prayers are with you and the boys.
  9. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

  10. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Actually it doesn't. We didn't get one when we purchased ours new 3 years ago. I also just checked the Roland website. Here is the list of included items: AC adapter, power cord, blade, blade holder, separating knife, roller base, tweezers, test-use material, application...
  11. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

I just did a test cut in our GX-24. 3mil calendered vinyl, well used 45 deg. blade, speed 20cm/sec, pressure 80. Got a nice clean cut. If you are up to 160 on pressure and it's not cutting through the vinyl something is definitely wrong. Next dumb question.....is the holder properly mounted...
  12. A different perspective

    Thank you for that!
  13. How long do you outgas?

We wait overnight which, depending on how early in the day it's printed and how late the next day it gets laminated, could be anywhere from 12 to 30+ hours.
  14. Troglodite!

Wow...flash back! Scary thing is I actually remembered some of the words! *LOL*
  15. Did anyone ever get the "square"

Hmmmm....Interesting that Intuit option is free. I had been looking at them (I use Quickbooks) prior to going with Square and the cheapest plan they had at the time (November) was $15/mo and required you buy a card swiper that, if I recall, was around $100. I think that regardless of which...
  16. Did anyone ever get the "square"

Yes, I got mine in late november. Also took less than a week to receive. This is the mobile CC solution I was looking for! I also know 3 other business owners that use them and no complaints so far.
  17. Rolls Roller

It's a very cool piece of equipment. I first saw a video of it a couple of years ago and immediately put it on my "I want that someday" list.
  18. ATV wrap

    Convex Hi-bond or Substance Ultracurve
  19. SP-300i and MX graphics

We've had good results cutting that material combo using a new Clean Cut 60 deg. blade, 2 passes, speed 2, and 300 pressure. I know some guys are doing it with versacamms using only one pass but I've never had consistent results.
  20. Banner Tape

Tim, Thanks for the pictures. What is your preferred brand of tape?
