Looking for a base for parking lot signs that when they run into it you can replace the sign and post but keep the base. I used these 20 or so years ago but cant find them. These were the coolest thing since sliced bread. If I find them I will post pics.
White Styrofoam with polyurethane hardcoat sprayed on top. Light strong and durable. BTW bricks with holes are for buildings and paver's dont have holes.
On a second note dont worry about the cost, a decent shipping case lined with padding will be 2 or 3 times the cost on the sign. They...
We recylce everything we can. Paper goes to the scouts. Steel, Alum and plastic of course I get $$ for. Steel goes into a big rolloff type dumpster and when it full we call and the take away leaving a new one. Plastics goes away in totes. We sort out the alum 3000 series 5000 series and...
By his machine from the leasing or finance company in 6-12 months when he goes out of business for 20 cents on the dollar. Hopefully he does not lower the cost of signs to bad in effort to stay afloat.
Most big shops have sign grave yard and I see stuff thats sat around for years. We had some new signs that had a design/size change and sat around for a long time. Ended us selling one and the rest went away on the scrapers truck. We got nothing but did not have to move them.
Good luck
I remember a long time ago we had a similar type customer that was in the restaurant biz. I am not sure but I think the failure rate of those to type businesses are about the same. Any how we got 1/2 down, did drawings, got permits and built the letters. When we went to install they had...
The formula is the same for large and small companies. Our payment on our building is likely more than a lot of folks sell in a year but we still must make money. The cost of goods sold must be bore than overhead and material cost. If you can not do that then sit at home and watch Oprah. The...
Hopefully not to much of a highjack but is the current sign in 2 pcs? The reason for this is when they have to service the sign a 1 man service truck can deal with a 10' piece. When you have a 20' piece it may take 3. Let your customer know so it not a surprise that to relamp the next time...
I donate to who and what causes I care for. If it were a good customer I would do it for cost if they were also kicking something in. I dont want to have any recognition for the work as it will likely attract more free work. Kinda like the ONE stock car I sponsored. The only thing it got me...
We spray automotive primer as well Marhide or something similar. Top coat with mathews or gripgaurd. IMHO latex paint is for yard sale signs and temporary signs.
The shop vehicles have no graphics as we deliver to other shops or their job sites.
Here is my toy BTW get to move up to the 50 and over class this year.
Thanks to Flame/JJW Designs who I Bought the graphics from
I may have to eat my words but as I said the Restaurant owner showed up at his shop with brand new letters with LED's installed in a Gemini box. The Restaurant owner was not clever enough to put them up so the went to a sign company and get them to put them on " one of those raceway thingys"...
One one my customers customers said they just bought from gemeni direct. Gemeni needs to choose who they want to sell to till then then can kiss my a** and my business goodbye.
Remember folks if you and your customer can buy from them they are a competitor.
PS I will follow up and pass...
How deep is the cabinet? S/F or D/F ? Flat or pan face? The problem may not be with the face and the faces may be to close to the lamps or the lamps may to far apart on center.
