  1. CJV30 Disappearing Yellow Ink

Hello Replace the 2 valves in the cartridge holder. Even though they are open they may not be opening enough. To prove this jam something behind the valves (both yellows) to open them up fully (behind the solenoid lever). I have had this before and its a bugger to diagnose/find. Tekkie1:cool:
  2. CJV30-160 bad registeration

Then you will run the risk of inacurate cuts without the rego marks as mimaki will not warrant the cuts without rego marks. Yes it will work without them depending on what your doing but it is reccomended that they be used. Tekkie1:smile:
  3. CJV30-160 bad registeration

Hello try changing the size and style of the current registration marks you use. it may take a couple of goes but it should then work I have clients that have increased the size in length of the rego marks and also the thickness of the rego lines and this has worked. There is also a setup in...

  6. JV5 slant adjustment

The JV5 would be one of the hardest machines to align. You can and will spend up to 6 or 7 hrs to get it right. This is even stated in the mimaki manual!! So unles you have experience with this machine its best left to the experts to align. Regarding your question yes make sure that the...
  7. Mimaki Problem

It will most probably be the relays on the heater/power supply board. source them locally 24v 5A , make sure the pins are the same distance apart as the originals or they wont solder in. I have done several now.. Tekkie1:thumb:
  8. mimaki cjv30 black color

And the head height? Are you moving the carriage to the left away from the capping station and then loosening the 2 screws then letting the head drop then tightening the screws back up? If you dont move the carriage and adjust it and try and adjust it while capped it will not lower down due to...
  9. JV33 dropping colors

Ditto on the cap They need to be replaced on average every 6 to 8 months..this is from my expereince. Also to get the dampers full you need to remove the damper and open the valve of the ink cartridge in service mode and turn the damper upside down while holding the valve button in on the damper...
  10. New jv34-260 giving problem already!? Help

Looks like a data problem to me. Turn off the power to the machine at the main power input and leave for 1 minute and then turn back on. See if there is any firmare update for the machine via rasterlink and if so run it. If the problem persists intermittenetly I would be replacing the main board...
  11. Nozzle wash

The older JV3S(3 heads) has the pump on top at the front, the others are where what has been said. Definetly a pump or pump line problem if it runs away when you are in nozzlewash mode, as the pumps reverse and block off so it can hold the liquid in the cap Tekkie1:wink:
  12. mimaki cjv30 black color

What is your head height on? Could also be some sort of static attraction Does it do it on all media? What inks are you running...Genuine or aftermarket Is there an airconditioner or fan blowing onto the machine or media? Tekkie 1:wink:
  13. JV3-160-S - cyan head not printing

You should be able to select a profile that is only cmyk and print with that. however you will need to move the dud head to the light cyan/magenta position and vice versa I did this with a client the other day with photoprint5 and it worked a treat and he was very happy with the result. I dont...
  14. Jv3 Head Movement

There is a plate and 2 screws on the end of each end of the belt so you cant go wrong its behind the head carriage.
  15. Jv3 Head Movement

Within reason it should..basically look under the head carraige assy and see if it looks parallel to the platen if it does ok. If it looks like it is facing down then you need to replace 2 bearings at the back of the carriage which is not hard but lots of things need to be unscrewed and cables...

[/COLOR] Yes U can to try, at least u will know if the yellow then gives u the same results as the black was. Make sure u trurn off the power pull out the mains plug and and then push the green button on again so as to discharge any residue voltage in the power supply before u pull any head...

Try pushing some cleaning fluid through the head slowy with a syringe. then pull the ink through from the pump with a syringe but you must block off the pump tube from the cleaning pump on...
