Yes that is the parameter you need to change for size:smile:
Meca size (Size: 0=100 1=130 2=160) these are for a JV5
I dont have the exact ones for the 33 but i am sure if you try those and you can also try going up to 4
try that

Cartridge valves is what I would suspect.
Try making the valve open more by jamming something under the solenoid lever of the colour not working, then try sucking ink and see if will stay.

Hi The extra fans sit on the floor and are piped outward sometimes to a charcoal filter fan arrangement.
The ink fumes sink to the floor and this is what is helping to remove the smell

Hi I have done this 4 times now and I have always removed the gantry, I understand without all the cradles and Y bar jigs it would not be easy. As has been said if the y bar (gantry) is not removed and placed on the correct mountings of the jig and bolted down then the z axis screws could and...
Do not have to much glycol in the mixture or it does such a good job that the heads dont reach the required temp and it will not allow you to print. I have seen this happen before and it was a bugger to find the problem when everything apperas to be ok.

Hello George
1. what 3rd party inks are they?
2.where did u get this machine from?
PM me as I am in your area and I know you have already rung us, but I did not speak with you.
Tekkie1:smile:
Sounds like the cartridge valve is not opening all the way.
Take off the cover over the cartridges and jam something in between the solenoid lever to open the valve a little more for that colour ,then do some more cleans.
Have you replaced the Capping station recently?
In my experience they...
Hello
How was the unit transported to you?
Was the Y bar(gantry) removed?
It must be removed and the special brakets fitted to stop the weight damaging the threads to the z axis drive.
If this was not done I suspect that the threads have been damaged.

99.999% of the time it will only be the Y axis motor.
I have tried to replace the bearings but it wasnt economical to do. Replacing the motor is the only option.
However you will find it will work like this for many years, but you have to put up with the noise.

Hello
I have just installed for a customer a Handtop UV printer model HT 2512UV with 5 Richco heads, on more investigation I see its the same as the CET machine you are all speaking about the X-press 500.
After setting up and creating a profile and doing test prints I am blown away at the...
Hi The JV5 my specialty...LOL
Firstly do u know how to get into service mode?
if yes..then go to function/test/ and then to cart/cart valve/ then open up the majenta valves on all 4 magenat cart.
Get a torch and then press "function" and the capping assy will go down so u can see under the...

Your machine needs a head alignment done for all modes.
Do a search on how to via the net and this forum.
For now don't use bidirectional mode use uni and it may be ok.
Uni is somewhat better for quality but bidirectional is sometimes faster but alignment has to be spot on or you get...
As what John Hill says do it overnight. Or go into maintenence/ nozzle wash/ fill the liquid/ and set it for 5 mins but turn off the power at the back overnight
The other thing is what height is the carriage set thick or thin? If thick I have seen it look like that when not printing on banner...
Hmmm I have seen this in the ink type ecohs1 but it was taken off the market for this reason (cyan problems only) but all the ink was removed from sale all colours.
In saying that I have recently had the same problem in HS ink on a jv5 only cyan. It took me over 4 hrs to clean out blocked...
But you will need a security dongle for a JV3 for rasterlink.
You dont need the dongle if you are using a jv33 or any mimaki using USB
Firewire (JV3) needs a Mimaki dongle.

Crap..... they are both well built machines..personal preference to which one is better...They both can break down as they are machines..
Tekkie1:readthread:
If it happeneing only on the left channel then it must be something common to them all.
what happens if you swap the cartridges from all the left to the right and visa versa do you get ink flow?
I have had many jv5's with no ink flow and its always cyan,
I mostly have found the heads on those...
