Do you unfurl them, use a fan or anything like that? Or just leave them on the printer rolled up, wait 2 hours then lam? Thanks.

We have a whole load of 50M rolls of eco solvent prints that need to be outgassed before lamination. I've read the thread a bit further down the board about unfurling the roles and raising them up so the solvent can effectively fall out of the bottom. Is this really a necessary step to outgass...

Yeah thanks I tried that one, as well as all the other vinyl profiles that came preloaded. All of them give this slightly mottled effect until the heat is increased. But if you guys recon it's OK to bump up the heat that's what I'll do.

Yes that's where I'm setting the temps by overriding the defaults.

We're using Versaworks with an RE640. There's no profile available for this vinyl (LG) on the RE that we could find so we're using Generic Vinyl 2.

Thanks for the reply. OK the rippling / tunnelling at 45/50 isn't enough to interfere with the head and that seems to give us the best print quality. So that's the only downside with using higher heat... Potential for rippling and then in turn head crashes? No other downside? Doesn't stretch...

Has anyone used LG LD3911 vinyl and / or the matching laminate LP3912? Need some reasonable eco solvent printable vinyl for some prints being mounted to flat substrate (no contour cutting required). Any good?

Thanks Player. No one else using the take up with their Roland? That's a bit concerning. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the SP540V a slower machine than the RE640?
