Hi Jason, we've love a Zund but as you know we're also looking at printers and both bits of kit together would take it over our budget so we're looking for cheaper options.
So with the Zund, if you're producing a load of square panels for a client, who's supplied a PDF with crop marks and...
Thanks for the reply. I was feeling a bit lonely there for a while.
Strangely enough, the Colex Sharpcut is the machine we're most interested in (or possibly an F series Summa).
But the Colex comes either as a static bed model or with a conveyer bed. We've demoed the static bed but a rolling...
Thanks Wunder. Thats's the direction I think we're heading at the moment. It's just hard to look past the print quality of the Arizona.
Anyone else have an opinion?
I know quite a few people on here have one of these machines. Would be great to hear some more opinions.
Hi,
We're looking at flat bed cutters and trying to work out if a rolling bed option is something we need or want to spend the extra money on.
We'll use the cutter for Foam PVC, Acrylic, Dibond and the other usual materials but we also do a fair amount of posters, banners etc and it would be...
Hi,
We're trying to make a decision on a new flatbed printer and have narrowed it down to these two models.
They're almost the same price give or take a couple of thousand. After the warranty expires, the service contracts are also very similar prices as well.
Oce...

I think my main concern with the HP is we would be buying a machine that was already lagging behind in terms of quality even on it's slowest / highest quality settings.
Most of the stuff we produce will be large exhibition graphics, hoardings, etc that will be viewed at a distance but there are...
No I haven't. I'm not familiar with Jetrix. Does anyone have one of these that could comment?
I assume they're a much smaller company than HP / Oce / Agfa?
My concern would be buying the machine and the company ceasing to exist / going bust etc, not being able to get parts or support. Am I...
Sorry I know this is a bit of an old thread and I'm not sure how much useful info can be obtained from it due to the way the question is posed but it's quite interesting that HP completely dominates the results.
Is that just a price thing? ie lower price = more people use them = more people...
As I mentioned above the poly prop was the option that gave us the best looking result regarding the silvering. We tried white vinyl but it didn't look anywhere near as good.
Just wondering what vinyls people are using for this that give good results?
Yes that's how we've done it before using this product:
http://www.drytac.co.uk/window-tactm.html
But I've heard a lot of people doing it the other way and wondered if it would be cheaper / better to do it like that.
Also, what if the client wants it to be more permanent? There is a permanent...
Hi,
We're looking for a method that will allow us to mount printed graphics to the inside of windows facing outwards without the silvering you sometimes get from the adhesive.
I've heard a fair bit of conflicting info...
I've read on here a few times that we need to use vinyl with an...
Thanks Jason.
Putting speed aside for a minute, would you say the Swiss Q was a big step up in print quality from the HP? Or would the average person not notice a huge difference?
Hi Jason and thanks for the reply.
I've read a few of your threads on here and the UK Sign Boards regarding your latex machines and then the FB700.
You see to be doing quite well and have trodden a similar path that we'd like to tread.
Would you go down the same route if you were to do it...
