  1. Latex L25500 Question

Is that seven liters through each of the six heads (7 liters x 6 head = 42 liters)
  2. Latex L25500 Question

I would be curious to see what the 'average' usage is for print head life (in terms of ml) before the head is replaced. You can obtain this information from the printer's control panel > Ink Menu > Printhead Information > Printhead #. We see wide variations between different machines, but the...
  3. Hp third generation latex printers-latex 3000

New HP Product Lineup for Latex: The HP Latex 260 Printer, formerly the HP Designjet L26500 Printer The HP Latex 280 Printer, formerly the HP Designjet L28500 Printer The HP Latex 820 Printer, formerly the HP Scitex LX820 Industrial Printer The HP Latex 850 Printer, formerly the HP Scitex LX850...
  4. Your thoughts of new Epson's SureColor wide format printer.

That is a four percent error rate!?! I would agree that is unacceptable. However, have you looked at size adjustments that may be available in your RIP software? Many RIPs make size adjustment controls available to compensate for media feed variations...Onyx definitely does in the Media Manager.
  5. Colorific..............................

I can say with a high degree of confidence that Colorific does not manufacture Roland OEM ink. Nor do they make OEM ink for any other manufacturer that I know of.
  6. HP Latex L25500 just shutting down around 80%-90% of print

What is the 'generic' error message that is generated when the error occurs? Even the 79.04 message includes sub codes that can be captured and these will give a clue to the source of the error.
  7. Designjet L28500 Color Management Headaches

Double-sided PVC banner media has been the most difficult media for the HP latex printers, due to the higher heater settings and the nature of the media itself. I have found that some of the Herculite Bantex double-sided media products work quite well. Also Ultraflexx is coming out with a new...
  8. HP L26500 Color Issues

Can you post two images of the 'before' and 'after' color shifts for the same file? There are a dizzying array of things that can (and often do) cause color shifts in print production, These include print room environment (temp and humidity must remain reasonably constant), nozzle performance...
  9. X-Rite i1 Basic Pro 2

Both of the RIP products that you are using (Roland Versaworks and Wasatch SoftRIP) do not contain a module to generate the ICC output profile, but they do allow you to perform the prior steps (ink restrictions, linearization, total area coverage). You would need the XRite i1PublishPro 2 product...
  10. Latex compatible static cling?

We just printed an entire roll of General Formulations Concept 208 white on the latex, and it printed beautifully. I then loaded the clear cling product (Concept 207) and I was pleased with that image quality as well on the L26500. It is interesting, because I had been told that static cling was...
  11. Need HELP creating a new profile using Flexsign 8.6v2

I cannot speak to the Z2100 specifically, but I do know that on other HP printer models with embedded i1 units, they are enabled for densitometric (density) readings only, and therefore are useful for linearizing the printer, but not for creating a complete media profile. For that, an external...
  12. What is a good fabric for the HPL25500 Latex Printer?

First place to look would be the HP Latex Media Solutions locator: https://h30623.www3.hp.com/ This is a searchable database of media products from a large number of manufacturers that have been tested and profiled.
  13. question

SoftWare upgrades from most developers are only available to go to the current version. This includes for Flexi.
  14. VS-640 not finishing cuts on letters and missing side when "Cut Image Boundaries" set

If you are sending Postscript files to Versaworks (EPS or PDF files), be sure to set your EPS margin to a value larger than 0 in your Queue A/B Defaults (under the Edit Menu). The other issue sounds like the knife skipping on letters' oblique angles. Use a 60 degree sharp blade for laminated...
  15. Can I write Mimaki/ RasterLink5 profiles without their ProfileMasterII software?

I am pretty certain that the Mimaki bundled RIP (Rasterlink) makes media profile generation an optional module (read costs extra).
  16. Mutoh Valuejet 1204 stripes

Concur. Definitely PF encoder/ disc related .
  17. Latex compatible static cling?

Gudy is not static cling material, it is a very low-tac adhesive. It should work well with latex ink.
  18. Saving as PDF is changing colors all of sudden

The settings that you show in your screen captures will result in files that are untagged, that is without a working space that is tied to the color model. EPS files are always untagged, as that file format does not support working spaces. For more accurate color communication, change the PDF...
  19. Latex compatible static cling?

General Formulations Concept 208 has an Onyx media profile available for the HP L25500 and L26500 printers, though I have never attempted to print on it with the latex ink machines. One thing that is true with most cling medias is that they tend to contain a lot of plasticizers, which in time...
  20. HP 25500 makes horrible noise

Does the noise occur when the carriage is moving over the media, or stationary in between passes?
