  1. Air Conditioning Solutions

My 2 cents, but maybe you need to present the AC in a different manner. Ask him if he wants his business to succeed, and for him to think of it as an investment into the future of his business, maybe he might want to increase costs slightly to compensate, but it would help in the long run and...
  2. New printer/cutter recommendations

We only have 30" Printer / cutters and I haven't had any issues getting media, typically I just get the supplier to slit the 54" rolls in half and you have 2 shorter about 27" rolls for the price of a 54" roll, usually saves a few buck even with the small slitting fee. However, it all depends on...
  3. Need Help (BN20) replacement Dampers? or Printhead?

Based on those photos, yes, both Printer A and B have print head issues and would require replacement unfortunately. What I might suggest is if you get them both replaced, you could always sell one afterwards and recoup some cost of the heads.
  4. What's Stopping My Print? Roland BN20A

It could possible be the ethernet port on the main board is going, does it lose connection to the printer?
  5. Help

There appears to be some sort of electrical issue. Make sure all the connections are proper. Might also want to check the transistors on the main board to make sure they are okay.
  6. Help

There doesn't appear to be a photo. Could you repost please?
  7. Need Help BN20 printhead

For filling the dampers, I've done it both ways. I do tend to try to let the printer do it first, if it's not really working then I'll do the syringe, as it does put pressure on the head when you pull, so if I can avoid that, I tend to.
  8. Need Help (BN20) replacement Dampers? or Printhead?

For changing the dampers, you'll first want to clear any ink out of the lines, then power off and disconnect the power cord. You'll have to remove the cover(don't have this printer here), but it uses the same head as my VS-300i. Once you have access to the head you'll need to remove the print...
  9. Need Help BN20 printhead

Yes, not a fan of it either, but not much you can do, other then finding a cracked version, I know there were a few on here, but if you say they aren't working anymore, my guess is that Roland has made a patch to protect against that. Really, it's a way for Roland and dealers to make money and...
  10. Need Help (BN20) replacement Dampers? or Printhead?

From the second image, it does appear that there is something wrong with the black nozzles, maybe a head strike or it was improperly transported from the seller to you. A couple things you can try for both printers. For Printer A, you can try replacing the dampers to see if that helps, if it...
  11. Need Help BN20 printhead

Does that 1.6K include the tech coming in to install it, unless you have the cracked version to access the service menu, you won't be able to change the head yourself, as well as you need to be handy and careful, as that machine has the one head and it can be easier to destroy it if you aren't...
  12. Started printing lines

What does the test print look like?
  13. VS300i Magenta and Cyan Ink Contamination

If that's the case, then you need a new head, consider yourself very lucky you were able to get 10 years, that usually doesn't happen, most of the time, you're pretty good getting 5 years, and I do know it can be dependent on how often you use it as well.
  14. VS300i Magenta and Cyan Ink Contamination

Sounds like it could be a cracked manifold. It is possible to replace, but can be tricky, especially if your not mechanically inclined. Otherwise, most likely looking at needing a new head, how old is the current one? If it's 10 years old, it's way outlived it's normal lifespan and you got...
  15. Flush Roland SP-540v

Although I can't comment on the compatibility, you'd want Eco-Sol Max Cleaning Cartridges. You should be able to get them from your local Roland Dealer.
  16. Flush Roland SP-540v

A couple of options for storage. 1. Order some cleaning cartridges and do a empty (or I think it's called that) from the ink menu in the service menu. 2. easier way with the cleaning cartridges, shut off power, hook up a syringe to the line after the cap top and pull until you only get cleaning...
  17. need help ROLAND XC540 blurry print ciyan color

If the black is a new head, you have even bigger issues, as that head has deflection and missing nozzles. You must have had a bad head strike recently.
  18. need help ROLAND XC540 blurry print ciyan color

There is certainly some issues with the head, a good amount of deflection and there even appears to be head damage in the black, maybe from a head strike. There is a chance you'll need a new head.
  19. need help ROLAND XC540 blurry print ciyan color

Can you post the nozzle test? Did you also do a nozzle test from the service menu? shows more details. Looks like ink spray from the cyan head.
  20. Issue with Roland SP540v

Is there ink in the lines? If there is ink in the cap tops, then it means it's going through the head, might be that you blew a fuse. Check the fuses on the main board.
