I recently added a Shark CNC HD 25x25" x 7" height.
It's great for simple signs and engravings. But I would also like to make parts for various robots and RC creations.
What is a good source for getting thick .25 to 1" thick 2x2' sheets?
I'm in Lake City, Florida just 1hr west of...
Hey,
I just found out about Section 179 allowing 100% deductions for various equipment and software. The two pieces of equipment I have been eagerly waiting to purchase are a laser cutter and CNC machine.
I contacted FSLaser.com and Probotix.com about delivery by the 31st but neither can...
Windows 7 has a program called "Snipping Tool". I would just use it on a background layer and trace over the relevant streets or landmarks that will best show people where your customers location. Even if you just copy/paste on a BC or PC it will be too small. As Watsons Signs said, you will...
Zoom out instead and you may notice a logo or shape you recognize. Zooming out will concentrate the blobs. I agree with others that whoever did this was familiar with your operations.
Can you determine by referencing known items in the foreground and background the persons height? Also if...
TRUE! If you want to see how high a Wal-Mart manager will jump just go to the website http://www.walmart.com/cservice/cu_comments_online.gsp?cu_heading=8 and leave feedback and your story.
About 5 years ago I did this to complain about the terrible shopping carts. 98% of the carts were...
I've never had a problem with Wal-Mart Oil changes but in my area the problems have always been at the 30m lube/oil places. After my Aztek went out of warranty I stopped taking it to the dealer and started using walmart. It's been going their for at least 5 years now every 6 months. I use High...
Please excuse my total ignorance.
What is the difference in the final look on acrylic between laser etching and sand blasting with a mask if possible or some similar and more widely available process?
I would hand count 100 cards and get the weight and multiply it by 150. Get the 100 count in grams then calculate and convert to lbs for the final comparison.
@GypsyGraphics in one of your shop photos there is a router table setup. Do you mind sharing what brand/model the table and router is and where you purchased it?
I'm looking at buying a new table and router this weekend.
I found some $16 32g plastic cans last night at Home Depot but they are too flimsy.
I'm going back today and pick up a green Brute 32g with the Recycle logo. I'm going to use my Rockler Vortex parts to build a Thien cyclone for it. I'll post pics when done.
@Pat Whatley - good find!!! this is what I was hoping for, some industry I'm not familiar. looks like these are used for live stock feed. and there are plenty of live stock farms in my area.
@qmr55 thanks but I think I'm going to try and make a thien collector this weekend and use a standard (cheap) metal or plastic trash can. I will need to make a circle cutting jig but I already have the scraps of MDF to make one. Not sure if I will use my vortex connectors but they should work.
Good stuff guys thanks!
I will look into the Thien setup. Maybe I will just return these vortex elbows along with a router plate that doesn't fit.
Will a standard copper grounding wire from romex work, or should I get an actual grounding rod for the dust container?
Just got an email from RolandDGA.com that says they've dropped the price of their VS-540 by $4,000. The price on the VS-300 and BN-20 remain unchanged.
