  1. What is the perf command, similar to "CutContour?"

We have a Roland large format printer using VersaWorks and we use the spot color "CutContour" for cutting out vinyl. I know there is a similar command that cuts down through the backing and perfs which is ideal for doing a bunch of oval decals. I cant for the life of me remember what that name...
  2. Material lighter than corrugated plastic?

Dont think Falconboard would fit their style but that stuff does look cool! Will keep that in mind for other stuff though
  3. Material lighter than corrugated plastic?

Printing on vinyl and applying to 22" x 28"
  4. Material lighter than corrugated plastic?

Thats pretty much what I was thinking. I just know there are a lot of other materials out there (on the Harbor Sales website) that Im not familiar with, thinking maybe there may be something else also
  5. Material lighter than corrugated plastic?

We generally use 4mm corrugated plastic for this client but he wants something lighter that is not foamcore but still has the durability of the corrugated plastic. Im going to suggest a 2mm corrugated plastic but is there anything else that may work out? Its being used for a general easel...
  6. VDOT approved sign

We generally order from Harbor Sales also for supplies, not sure if it comes from MD or not. I just looked at their stuff and they have DOT approved reflective blanks precut to different sizes, not too expensive either. I think I need to get more information from the client with what they want...
  7. VDOT approved sign

I know with Fellers, especially with the more expensive stuff, we can buy sheets by the foot instead of rolls. Thats probably what we would be doing. I almost feel thats the easy part. Getting the proper metal, proper sizing, acceptable layout, etc... will take a little more looking into than...
  8. VDOT approved sign

Hmm, sounds like its going to be more to it than we are really qualified to do....grrr! I know it suppose to be signs directing delivery trucks to different ends of the building or something like that. This is a start though, looking into seeing everything involved before committing to it
  9. VDOT approved sign

Someone came to us today about creating a couple signs for their business but they need to be VDOT (Virginia) approved. Not having much luck finding the requirements for something like this. I would think it would have to be reflective atleast, pretty sure Ive seen materials in the Fellers...
  10. How would I mount a jersey for an autograph sign?

I was thinking that too, this really isnt a sign and not our area. Its something you would take to a frame shop. I think we are going to suggest getting one of the DIY ones from the craft stores. We can still print anything they want inside though if needed.
  11. How would I mount a jersey for an autograph sign?

Didnt even think about the DIY shadowboxes from craft stores, will run that by them. Never heard of Sintra either but saw some videos on that. It looks like its about the same thing as PVC except maybe a little easier to bend? Im guessing pins and staples can also go into them easier than...
  12. How would I mount a jersey for an autograph sign?

A client wants a sign to be able to write autographs around it, probably on foamcore or PVC. They also asked to mount a childs sports jersey in the middle. Whats the best way to mount this? They said mounting it permanently would be ok. I was thinking either staples, velcro or hem tape...
  13. general height for single pole sign in lot?

We are in Virginia. Just found out they want the sign to be on a corner where a footpath to the front door meets the parking lot.
  14. general height for single pole sign in lot?

I have to put in a sign in a parking lot, its just a small sign telling hours on a 4x4 stud and have to dig the hole. Is there a standard height they generally should be so they dont stand too high or too low?
  15. Roland Color System - Can it be added to InDesign also?

Thats a thought but I dont see anything in Illustrator about exporting to an ASE
  16. Roland Color System - Can it be added to InDesign also?

I have the Roland Color System swatches installed in Illustrator but I would like access to these in InDesign also. Is there a way to do that? The only work around I can figure out is to color an object in Illustrator with the Roland swatch I want, then copy/paste the object into my document...
