  1. Profiling JV33

You would need the profiling module from Raster Link III/ Wasatch to perform all of the steps prior to the characterization (ink limits, linearization, calibration etc.) ProfileMaker will create the ICC component only, but will not help with the rest. Bob
  2. Graphtec Help

I would test using a pen tool and paper media, rather than the sandblast film that you are running. It looks to me like the media may not be designed for computer cutting, and the wheels are not gripping the media properly. Also, to isolate the plotter from the software, run the 'Cutting Pro'...
  3. Printing Problem

My first impression is that this looks to be environment-related. Is the humdity in the room where the printer is located within normal operating ranges? FYI, those ranges would be 35 percent to 80 percent relative humidity. The room temp should be as colse to 68 degrees (f) as possible. Bob
  4. Mutoh Help!!!

Make sure that the paper size is set to Roll, and not CutSheet. On the Mutoh Falcon printers, it is pretty easy to inadvertedly change from one to the other. 36 inches sounds like a CAD paper size for cut sheet E-size drawings. Bob
  5. Ecosol in any printer?

You would almost certainly succeed in destrying the ink train in the printer (hoses, printheads etc) in short order, as these components were not intended to transport solvent inksets. Bob
  6. Falcon OD Junior Question

This is completely normal. Multiple passes are virtually always used in inkjet printing, in an effort to hide banding artifacts. For example, 4-pass printing means that the printhead(s) make 4 passes over a given position, 8-pass printing would be roughly half of the speed of 4-pass printing (at...
  7. Just kill me now! Roland issues again!

Dennis: I think that you are referring to the SEH box that connects network (ethernet) to parallel data that the Mutoh Falcon printer has for it's interface. On occasion, these interface boxes do need to be reset by performing a power cycle. Most Roland printers do not use these as they have...
  8. Seiko 64s Color Painter

The machines that Seiko will be introducing to the USA market at SGIA are not the same as the old ColorPainter printers. They have different printheads, a different number of heads, and a different inkset (2x4 or 8 colors vs 6 on the old ColorPainter). Same name, new printer. Bob
  9. Contour Cutting after Printing in Flexi 8.1

I'm sure that your dealer would be more than happy to just pop on over and show you how to do it...Oh wait, you decided to buy based on a low cost bid from a dealer located thousands of miles away. In that case, you're on your own. Good luck. Bob
  10. Mutoh Falcon Outdoor Junior Paper runnoff

Verify that the the paper type is set to Roll and not Sheet. It may be sizing the sheet, causing it to advance. This setting is found on the machine's control panel. Bob
  11. Lines in my print??

I agree that it looks like a file issue rather than a printer issue. FLattening the file into a raster file (in Photoshop or PhotoPaint) would be the definitive test. Bob
  12. THANK YOU JACK CROSBY! - CAD SUPPLIES - Austin, TX

...Purge the lines with a syringe... Can you please amplify on this a bit? Did he: a) Pull ink through the heads from below the capping station? b) Push ink into the heads from above the dampers? c) Something else entirely? Bob
  13. Roland SP-540V Nozzle Check

First, I find it amazing that what should be a daily procedure (nozzle check test print) is so often not performed. I have to assume that the installing dealer simply did not train you on how to run this test, nor at what frequency. If you have a solvent printer from anyany manufacturer, the...
  14. Help printing red...

Mutoh Falcon Outdoor and ValueJet printers are two vastly different devices. Printing a 'blood' red that looks good both day and night (while illuminated) on backlit would be a challenge on any printer, but even more so on the Falcon Outdoor. Bob
  15. Seiko 64s Color Painter

One reason is that the ColorPainter 64s was discontinued in 2006, after being rebranded as the HP Designjet 9000s. The Seiko was a good, fast printer, with a medium solvent inkset. Bob
  16. Falcon Outdoor Jr. problems, Black lines through print.

This subject has been discussed many times. You will want to search the Mutoh-specific forum for this issue, and/ or post a photo of the nozzle check test print. Bob
  17. Viewing font characters in Flexi

Look for the Character Map located under the Text Menu. Bob
  18. CE5000-60 // errors HP-GL & MARKERROR

Cutting Master software requires that the plotter use the GPGL (Graphtec Plotter Graphics Language). The language setting is set via firmware in the plotter itself, through the control panel on the device. Bob
  19. Soljet - Versaworks - Greyscale issues

Click the link below, and look for 'the Grayscale Printing' item. http://rolanddga.com/color/support/wizard/default.asp?mt=356 Bob
  20. production manager problems

The solution to your issue is simple. Normally, the Production Manager interface divides into two panes, with the devices (plotters, printers etc) in the left pane, and the jobs going to the devices in the right pane. What happens on occasion (for no known reason) is that when the application...
