Thanks for your input. The onyx support sent their print cut file and got the same error. We reinstalled the software and it’s working great now. Somewhere a file got corrupted we have no idea how.

Yeah, I called Onyx Support and they remoted in. According to them everything checks out and its probably just a re install angle, so hopefully that works.

"Because it's giving you this error we know your file doesn't have "CutContour" on it". Unfortunately this isnt true, Cut Contour shows up in the Named Colors on our file. Any other ideas?

You can if you want the color to be more opaque. Usually we just print color right on the chrome, the lighter the color the more chrome effect. We use both Hp latex and Epson printers.

We run flexi with our hp printer. The rip can pull the data from the printer. Basically they talk to each other. I just make sure that the printer and flexi settings are the same. If that makes any sense . Do you have the profiles from your printer loaded into the rip?

My first plotter printer setup was the HP 315 as well. Now we are running an HP365 latex with a summa tangential 160 plotter with flexi. Sooooooooo much better than the drag knife 315. We cut a lot of thicker materials and have had zero issues with the tangential… we absolutely love it.

We just installed a full commercial wrap on a F-150 in arlon slx+. We use a ton of 1105 and I liked the arlon better! It’s air egress wasn’t as good, but conformability and ease of installation was as good if not better than the 1105.

We always suggest having it ceramic coated. It’s a great upsell for you and it helps a ton with matte wraps. We do a lot of Utv wraps and keeps the customer from using a pressure washer too heavily. If you need a supplier for ceramic, we have found an awesome product. Hit me up if you want some...

As said slx+ is great! You can use arlon 6100 if you like more of an initial tack. Not a big fan of orajet… it’s way too tacky imo, doesn’t conform well either. We mainly use 1105 if we can get it but the arlon above seems to do the job!
