Art "Not a Lost Art"

How many of you still create hand drawn, original artwork? I love what really good graphic artists/designers can do. I definitely enjoy computer graphics but Hand drawn art is definitely "Not a Lost Art". Corel Painter allows a traditional artist the ability to be artsy and be marketable in the digital world. Here is a sample of one of my latest designs...totally freehand and not copied from anyone. I would love to see some great creative art & designs. Question: is hand painted/ drawn Art "A Lost Art?".

Thank you everyone.

A customer showed me a picture he purchased. He didn't like how flat looking it was so asked me to create this for him.

Not dead or lost. But dying.

Here's another one I did for the same customer about 4 years ago

Here's another one I did for the same customer about 4 years ago. I printed the design, applied it to alumiboard (which was jigsaw cut to shape).

It's better to have two hands than one glove.

Too bad you gave it a set of feet off of a pterodactyl or Godzilla or something, the wingspan of a 747, and the wingtips or a hawk or eagle [I can never remember which one points forward and which one points backward]. Sort of spoils the effect.

Your really should learn how to put a ruinous yet unobtrusive watermark on your stuff. Hint: Transparency.

You are very talon-ted.

Seriously there are not many here that can mural and illustrate like you can. Well done.

Thank you Bob, good eye. This is only one part of the design..the exaggerated feet were done because the Macaw was holding a sign with text (which is not included in this pic. I use transparency water marks for different copies :) Thanks again. Sidney

I use my own stuff all the time.
My style is always cartoonical, whether I want it to be or not!
I don't think it's dying at all. In fact, you can charge more for it because it's not just clip art.
Love....Jill

Keebl, I use Corel Painter...It is the most realistic art/paint program in the industry. Adobe, freehand etc, are not even close:)
