Southwater Signs has been evicted from their shop and FBI investigating them.

Ugh, finally. I can't believe they languished this long. We're just downstate from them, but they were put on our no-no list a long time ago. It has been painful to see them come up so often in the FB groups.

I'm sure they do... Simple web searches come up with it, along with a bunch of civil suits against them for breach of contract and fraud.
I imagine they weren't paying taxes either. When Uncle Sam gets involved, it's game over.

Southwater stiffed our company as well for $3,320. Installed channel letter signs for a UPS Store location and haven't been paid for over 8 months. Same old story a check will be cut on "X" day and never happens. Got in contact with a transaction specialist at UPS and they said this...

"They went completely silent on The UPS Store corporate as well and stopped responding to any emails. There is no existing relationship anymore and they also owe The UPS Store corp a lot of money. Sorry, I wish we could be of more assistance."

Their google business listing shows the business as permanently closed, they may have started up another business listing under the name South water signs. This place comes up at a new address.

Tom Merkel, the owner of Southwater is an odd character. I remember visiting their shop a decade ago. He had his bright red Ferrari parked out front. Apparently it may have been bought with the money he didn't pay to others.

Newest equipment is 2019... Bet they sold a lot off and banked it, and left junk to liquidate.
