Fire Company font

Hello, font guru's,

I need to letter a couple of fire trucks, and I need to match this font as close as possible.

To the best of my knowledge, it came from the factory already lettered.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

If you have to match that door ... might I suggest that you make a trace off it!

That is not a font! It is a letter style that came out of an old sign painter's head through his lettering quill!

That is real hand spun gold leaf ... SignGold or any of the vinyls will not look the same.

Incidentally ... Fire Chiefs expect you to match all the other fire engines ... even though the 1st one was done by a traveling sign man ... well over 100 years ago!

Don't ask how I know this! :doh::banghead:

If you thinned down Bulletin Black from Sign DNA
it might be all right. I also changed the periods to circles.
This is straight from Corel.
FHA Modern Idealized Classic by the Fontry reminds me of it but is too thick and thin.
Love....Jill

It's an old sign painter font style. I used something close to that back when I was still hand lettering. I've used it on fire trucks and boat transoms for the hailing port. A single stroke gothic with a spur serif.
