First cartoon from my new tablet

Here's a little cartoon from my new Monoprice tablet (the $37 one). It's not much I know but it's a start. I did this in Xara because Xara seems to have the best pressure settings between the software I have that have pressure settings. I have Illy cs4, Corel X4 and Xara designer6

This was just drawn out with the tablet messing around. I think once I get more used to it and do a paper sketch first it will be a lot better. I'm pretty sure it would be much easier to trace a scanned in picture vs just winging it.

So that $37 one is working...... what a steal.

I did end up getting the Inturos 4 med and love it. They are a lot of help.

Can't believe yours even worked for that price. Good find.

Well... it was $54 landed on my doorstep. But it did come all the way from California to Nova Scotia for that. It works pretty good... I think. It's the only one I've ever tried.

The software makes a difference. It will take some time to configure the drawing program to where it works like I want. Lots of settings to figure out there. I really should take it as an opportunity to learn to use Illustrator I guess. Xara is great but not many places I might want to send a file to have it.

The tablet will be much better once I program the buttons. I like the zoom in /zoom out buttons but I could really use an undo button. Copy - paste is good. Actually I see there is an undo redo spot on the top edge of the tablet. I`ll have to give them a try.

John, Sketchbook doesn't seem to save into any vector formats. I kinda like vectors. I'm amazed that Autodesk has a piece of software that sells for 65 bucks though.
