How's your weather?

Just got home from Seattle. It was cold but clear and calm. Mostly 30s during the day. Back in SoCal to some nice weather while it rained here while we were gone. Rams made a couple of mistakes to give the game away. Oh well. On to Baseball Season.
BTW, we were in Seattle for Competition Cheer for the G-Kids. First place. That make 4 of 5 competitions in First. Onward to Palm Springs where I will be in shorts!

We got right at 12" of snow over the weekend. Sunday was great. Snowed in, nowhere to go, bummed around the house, organized some tools, watched movies and the playoffs. It's already quiet here but the snow always makes everything so much quieter. Super peaceful and relaxing.

Oh, and have to mention DeWalt.....the cordless snow blower made easy work of things of 12" snow in two driveways. So much better than shoveling.

Couple of pics when we had a few inches on the ground...

We had a low of around 29 here in Gulf Breeze, Florida last night and the high today is supposed to be 42. It's supposed to be like this all week and on into the weekend. We're not really accustomed to prolonged freezing temps like this here but that's okay. At least we're not dealing with snow and ice on the roads like a lot of y'all are. We got about eight inches of snow last February. which is unheard of in northwest Florida. The way this winter is going, we'll probably get a little more within the next few weeks.

We're not sending installers out to work in these conditions, I'm caught up, so we all figured we might as well just take a long weekend. But, being the good little brother I am, I took my sister to a doctor appointment this morning. My face hurt and fingers froze as I went out the door, I think the car actually growled at me for disturbing it's slumber, when I released the clutch I swear I heard it scream in pain. So I say to myself, "self, just how damn cold is it?". Car thermometer said -27, but what about that wind chill? I should have stayed ignorant... We'll be kinda like this til Sunday when the heat wave hits, the actual high temp is supposed to peek above zero, and real feel temps maybe in the teens below zero.

What's it like in your area? All our southern friends staying warm?

How many hours of heat do you get with a 5AH Powerstack, and where does the battery go?

Yeesh! 45° Celsius is pretty damned hot even for the summers here in Oklahoma. We'll get over 100°F on a regular basis; going over 110°F is (thankfully) a rarity. That 45° mark reminds me of that classic tune "Beds Are Burning" from Midnight Oil.
One of my favorite bands of all times! They had so many great songs that never even made it to the main stream radio. 'Dream World', 'Forgotten Years' and 'Blue Sky Mine'. One of m all time favs!

My sister and I made a lot of money 10-15 years ago vending at cheer/dance, baton twirling competitions all over the midwest, and have traveled as far Denver for cheer, we would load up the trailer with apparel, vinyl, plotter computer and hit the road. But we mainly hung around Wisconsin, and Indiana, selling a couple hundred pieces at most events. No we only go out a few times a year. The moms with cricuts kind of ruined it when they could do it themselves, and it showed.
