Rookie mistakes, chinese parts and finding this forum WAYYY too late has set me on the path of running down a rabbit hole. Does anyone know what my Roland VS540i is referring to by throwing the code
SERVICE CALL LINEAR ENCODER I? I have changed out the linear encoder scale and the linear encoder board ( now OEM parts) and this is what it shows. Oh and also service call 0110 which is all about the linear scale I presumed.

I recommend you first try moving the carriage by hand on the left side and see if it moves easily or feels stuck. 2. It could be a motor scan. 3. You may need to set the limit position.
