Could someone send me the instructions to change the ink configuration to 2CMYK, please?
Hi,Hello, we have a vs-640 and we ll change ink configuration from CMYKLCLMWMt to double CMYK. As the 2 channels of W and Mt are clogged(tubes, dampers, recirculation pumps etc) , does anybody knows if we can bypass these pumps and install 2 new channels like the 6 standard ones (CMYKLCLM) ? Ps We ll also change the printhead to a new one as its also clogged.. I attach the diagramm (the last 2 to become like the other 6 without pumps/joints etc)
Thanks a lot for any future help!
Because these printmodes don't exist. It's not possible to drive the ink channels individually, as it was possible with older Rolands with DX4 heads.Wonder why none has converted 8 colors to 6 colors with double cyan and magenta. Lines are the same, only white and metallic swap to cyan and magenta. There are many owners of VS that run them with cleaning cartridges for long time now.
Can I please get instructions too thank you richneal707@gmail.com

i may be wrong but i think it would be possible with flexi 24. you can do custom ink configurationsBecause these printmodes don't exist. It's not possible to drive the ink channels individually, as it was possible with older Rolands with DX4 heads.
Of course you also needed a full blown RIP with profiling capability and spectro...
But it was done for gamut enlargement with special colors or different black densities for gray scale fine art prints back then.
