striping a clearance bar?

I'm tasked to stripe/graphic a 6" aluminum tube and I'm stumped as to "how people stripe clearance-bars".
guess I've never noticed before, and this would be my first attempt.

Leaning toward the first option of the attached photo, simply mirroring the stripe and wrapping V's from bottom & up the sides, but if I were to/should do the latter by wrapping perfectly spaced & continuous strips around the tube... how/where would I stop the stripe at the center?

invalid image? never seen that one before :(
re-uploaded and nope, doing this on the ground/suspended with zip-ties between a pair of horses. piece-of-cake, but just seeing what others' thoughts-were.

I would get some painters tape the width of the space and get the first stripe on then work my way across using the painters tape to get the space perfect

went with the first option, with the "V"-shaped stripes.
I figured it easier than trying to twirl the striping around the pole and potentially getting some wavvvy-ness in the middle of my rushjob.

easy as:
1)snapped line to mark my true-square bottom (mounting holes already drilled for top, so had easy reference points)
2)aligned V's to line, wrapped around to top where I hinged & applied around the circumference
3)shook all the shop-floor dust off my back, after a nice hour-long install while lying-down :toasting:

i think it looks great and thanks for the suggestions to help ease my helplessness :)

Cool - nice job. I don't think you needed to go all the way around, though... once you're through, the exit is another way out. Usually...
