Tariff impact, can't get clearer than this

Excellent, so you recognize that there is a definitive right and wrong.

If you read back in the thread I was originally addressing the tariffs that Gemini was claiming for charging higher rates. Yes, I'm also in the sign industry and have gotten very helpful information from this website and also am thinking of joining the premium version. But seeing you are from Washington State I can understand your concern.
Washington State, that’s generalizing her (Boudica) for being on the left.

This is what I don't get. So far you've mocked Texans, now Washington people... Why the hate? Just because people don't agree with your views it makes them less American? Or less deserving to be American?

The us vs them crap needs to stop. But I guess if your president says he could care less about healing the divide between Americans and bringing people back together why should the average joe...

Voicing opinions is good.
Judging opinions of other to be right or wrong is obnoxious
Forcing ideological positions on others through lawmaking is tyranny.

You seem to have mastered the preachy right wing judgmental mindset that will push the political pendulum back to the left.

"it shouldn't be us vs. them, but also hate them!"
cool story bro.
Most grown adults understand you can have a difference of opinion and views without hating the other, or at least they used to.

Theres some extreme far right people on here, and while I think how they view trump is dumb, I hold nothing against them. Even you, I may view you as brainwashed by trump, but you're some guy 10000 miles away from me, I don't hate or wish you to fail in life, and I don't automatically assume every viewpoint you have is wrong just because you like trump.

Hating on a state, even if the state has a majority of Democrats is plain stupid.

It's "America first" not "Republicans first"

Is everyone at a gay pride event naked / exposing themselves, or a select few? That'd be like me calling Republicans domestic terrorists because of the Jan 6 attack.

You should be mad at the police for not enforcing the laws and arresting the people that are naked.

Never been to a gay pride parade, not my thing. But I wouldn't punish a group of people because of what less than 1 % of them are doing.

We don't have people naked at our parades, so I don't know how big of a problem it is there. We have an annual naked bike ride where hundreds of people sit their bare dirty asses on public rent a bikes and drive around... I wish cops would do something about it and arrest them. But even then... It's not like I have to go watch it, I just think it's gross and don't get why the law is only applied to certain individuals, should apply to everyone.... Minority, majority, rich, poor, etc.

I completely agree that the law should be applied to everyone evenly. I'm more of the just leave me alone type but society is getting so bad because of everyone just letting this craziness happen. It has gotten to the point that everywhere I look, there is crazy, so I can no longer turn my cheek.

You say all this as you preach your position on my position...

I'm gonna be brutally honest here.

I don't see much of anything he said as mocking or stereotyping, just by making some very obvious deductions.

* Did he say anything untrue ??
* He showed where all of his statistics come from.
* His facts are spot on and he didn't google them. Besides, they have nothing to do with politics.

Why is not agreeing always called Hate - racism - or whatever ??

I've lived through several assignations, the threat of nuclear bomb threats, 911, terrorism not just at our front door, but in many many countries around the world as well in my country.

Besides the whole country being in political debates over policies.... emotions have taken over with animosity and misinformation from all angles. This polarization of our country comes about mostly from our media and its done away with trust in our democratic institutions. We seem to be losing our ability for ration thinking and just go at it from emotions, regardless of how wrong they might be.

Ya know, when I was in grade school, there were fights all the time, mainly caused by the black panther party. We got past all that and white & blacks started getting along. Now, its almost all back.... and while it seems worse, the media is helping to increase this political violence sh!t. We all feel dehumanized by it and don't look at others like your fellow human beings, but just a number...... pretty much like they make you feel in the hospital or any other place these days.

Sure, this place is about signs, but just like that old category NHB section, we cannot rule ourselves, so we become savages with whomever doesn't agree with us at the moment, but then we hold onto the grudges and they just fester until the next post or thread and the feelings deepen, until no one gives a sh!t about the other member, because you're no longer a fellow signmaker, but an opponent.

I had to look back - and I was mistaken, it was mike that mocked texans, not user - My bad, all Republicans look alike to me (Kidding again). But I do think the Washington comment is more stereotyping / intended as a diss, than it is making a deduction.

"a texan confederate would say something like that" was the comment I was referring to. Just half-ass guessing, but pretty sure texassignmaker wasn't in the civil war.

This is the U.S.A. and there is free speech here. Have you ever heard of the saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"?

No one ever said you couldn't say it, Was just pointing out generalizing someone because they're a democrat, and a Texan (Which I was wrong in, mistaken identity) just makes you look ignorant. Also... free speech protects you from the government... AFAIK Donny doesn't own Signs101, so it wouldn't protect you from posting stuff on here if the admin didn't like it. Just pointing it out as a lot of Americans seem to throw around how they have free speech without understanding exactly what it means. It's why a lot of people are getting fired for being happy about Charlie kirk...and rightfully so, Sometimes people need to learn to shut up and keep their opinions to themselves.... and I'm glad the government doesn't try to prohibit private business's from taking action against people who promote hate like the people who are getting fired have been.

You still don't get it. No one cares if you made a mistake. No one cares if you misquoted something or someone. No one cares if you say something and no one sees it as being funny. Ya say what ya want and move on. Now, don't say things with malice or intentional harm, but anyone can forgive a misspoken word, phrase or whatever, as long as it comes from you. Once you start quoting things from google, then you have no idea who or what it came from and what kinda twist was put on it. Google.... google itself and ask it how bias it is/was. It has changed somewhat, but they still lean more one way, but cover their tracks better now.

Ya hafta check your ego and feelings at the door when talking in a place like this. Then, when ya walk away, we still all friends and not picking on each other.
Cripes, I feel like I'm teaching second graders. This is sh!t any adult from US, canada or any other participating country/continent should already be practicing on their own. Whether you agnostic, Christian, Jewish, hindu, muslim...... it is taught in every language in every religion.

I think you have been living in a bubble where the left gets to project their feelings about this and about that with no actual account for reality. I'm not sorry for bursting that bubble. Everything that I have said is based.
