They are actually painted.It was for an advertising campaign for the coop paint company.

That whole project was highlighted in a Wide Format Imaging article last year - or Big Picture or one of those other industry magazines. Cars are part of it. Rest of it is wrap

that fountain coming out of the mouth is in downtown Chicago... cracked me up the first time i saw it. The face appears on a pillar of video screens, "spits" water out a pipeline opening near the base, and then smiles at you before going away and repeating the loop every 15min'ish.
