I recall the manufacturers of KY Jelly getting sued after a woman put it on her toast and was not adequately warned about the side affects. I would hate to see what would happen if some unsuspecting victim of idiocy turned these into an omelette or a quiche.

I think Avery went up about 15% in here. I'm betting after tarrifs are gone, prices never come back down. :roflmao: already adjusted all our pricing, just sucks that the average joe is paying this tax while the billion dollar companies eat upwl the Proffitt.

I doubt they raised their pricing by 15% because their cost was 15%... I'm betting their cost was 10% so they raised it 15, #?$ they're pocketing the extra 5.

Think for a minute about what you just said.

There have been so many threads on this subject. If all of your costs are calculated for overhead and profit, so your business can succeed.... you'd put the same markups on a tariff. You'd be a fool to just pass the cost along.

In Australia, we have a nation wide GST. A goods and services tax of 10% we calculate the cost that already includes the 10% and then apply the markup. The gst to the customer that is on our costs is. then added to the final bill.
The gst is part of the price of materials, and also part of the price of the final sale. You can't mark up the GST.
I should imagine tarrifs work the same way
