Do you know HOW many eggs it takes to make certain types of booze ??What has that got to do with the price of eggs Gino?
I recall the manufacturers of KY Jelly getting sued after a woman put it on her toast and was not adequately warned about the side affects. I would hate to see what would happen if some unsuspecting victim of idiocy turned these into an omelette or a quiche.thanks Trump

In Australia, we have a nation wide GST. A goods and services tax of 10% we calculate the cost that already includes the 10% and then apply the markup. The gst to the customer that is on our costs is. then added to the final bill.Think for a minute about what you just said.
There have been so many threads on this subject. If all of your costs are calculated for overhead and profit, so your business can succeed.... you'd put the same markups on a tariff. You'd be a fool to just pass the cost along.
Sure, therefore the tariffs a generating even more income for me... though since I'm not seeing anywhere near the volume I as seeing last year, that's a net loss for me.you'd put the same markups on a tariff. You'd be a fool to just pass the cost along.
Negative, tariff applies when items cross the border, unless you ship internationally, tariffs are never listed on invoices. Taxes on the other hand are, and are applied after all goods and services are accounted for, including stuff like excess charges from tariffs, so in theory the tariff also increases the tax on the final item.I should imagine tarrifs work the same way
Depends on your area. Everything here is so cut throat... Even my side business, which is 70% the cost of where I work, is considered pricey. People are using Chinese vinyl / Chinese Coro, and charging almost nothing - where as we use us vinyl, Canadian coroplast, and value our time at more than $5 an hour.Think for a minute about what you just said.

I don't know how anyone call sell a yard sign for $4 each. that's a wholesale price any day.Depends on your area. Everything here is so cut throat... 18" x 24" Coro sign, double sided with a step stake... Someone wanted 10 of them. I was at $16 each... ($11.50 in real money) - they came back laughing saying other shops are half the price, and pulled up a text link from the shop down the street who's selling them for $5.50 each. ($4 usd)
So 6 sqft of printing, 6 sqft of Coro, and a step stake... Even if you don't factor in time that's like 50 cents Proffitt a sign. I won't touch a job unless I'm making $50-100 an hour In my business, I work 8 hours a day managing a company, so I'll turn down anything that isn't worth it to me.
It's hard to justify jacking it up at just a bit above the additional cost. We still do it... And never try to compete with the lowest person, but it's still a fine line with how much we can before people start looking elsewhere and going to the bargain basement shops.
According to google AI... There's 85 sign shops within a 20 minute drive of me. That's just 85 legit shops, not even the ones running out of their basement selling shit for pennies on the dollar.
So yes... We raise costs based on a lot of things, tarrifs being one of them... But we're pigeon held by following what other shops in our area are doing... At least the ones we compete with.
