Since you manage and or own said companies, are you giving opportunities to the migrants for the jobs youre hiring for?

At my work - there's 3 white people. About 4 Cambodians who immigrated over here 30 years ago, 2 Vietnamese who are the same, 2 Chinese, and 1 Laos. all hired before me - since I've been in charge of hiring... We hired 1 half white / half indigenous, 1 East Indian who's lived here his whole life, and 1 philipino who's lived here for 10 years.

At my company - it's 1 Chinese who I'm not sure how long they've lived here, but their English is perfect so I'm guessing a long time... 1 white person and 1 part time east Indian.

I didn't sponsor anyone to come here, if that's what you're asking.... I legally wouldn't even be allowed to, especially not through the TFW program.

I have Indian associates/friends that came here and di by the books, they don't like the massive influx of Indian migrants. They left India because of the rampant corruption and pollution.

Canada had the best immigration policy until the "Marxist Trudeau liberals" came to power in Canada.
Its not just happening here ... in every commonwealth country UK, Australia etc, Europe for that matter with the exponential rise in 3rd world migrants.
Even the Carney "lieberals" have admitted they need to "reassess" the sh!tshow they have created.

When you import in 5 million Indians they don't assimilate they don't integrate...What do you think is going to happen? Cultural ghettos and tribal nepotism/None of them are doctors engineers or skilled for that matter only here for PR status.
They are just workers who don't know their rights and are exploited for cheap labor, hiding behind the excuse of "international student" but really working and not studying.

Let alone the LMIA and TFWs... its just a n excuse for Corporations to lie they can't "find" Canadians to fill the job openings then surreptitiously hire the migrants.
Ultimately is a slow invasion by demographics. The Biden Administration imported millions of undocumented migrants same thing up north here its a complicit act by the oligarchs and their politician henchmen.

In Canada you need to prove you've looked to hire someone qualified for the job and were unable to find anyone qualified. I agree that it's jobs people don't want to do... but not because it's shitty jobs, it's because it's shitty pay. I have a buddy who works in sanitation going around with a big hose sucking up shit from porta potties all day... He reeks of crap no matter how many times he showers... but they pay $30 an hour.... If you pay the right price, any job is a job someone wants.

It's all a scam to pay the least amount of money, and keep the richer rich. I know USA has a lot of immigrants / illegals working in farming - Do you think if the job paid $30 an hour, locals wouldn't be willing to do the work? Yes. it's work no one wants to do... but it's more like work no one wants to do for $5 an hour. Most mcdonalds franchises make 600k a year in profit, on average, according to google. Pay a couple bucks more to get above minimum wage, and You'll get a lot more people wanting to do the jobs.

If I need a job, I will take what is available, even I do not like the pay, but it will be better to have a few dollars than none, in the meantime, working for low wages, I will continue looking into a better paid job.

Working in the fields is NOT shitty job, YOU do want to get paid a lot for what you do, but if someone else can do the same job for less, who the company will hire?

Immigrants, legal or not, many of them do work for a need not for a greedy reason, that is a big difference, because they can survive with it and have a better life even they are underpaid, according to you.

Ikaruasu - where do all the teenagers work in Canada? Being a mom of a 20/24 yr olds, many of their friends never worked, mommy's just paid for everything. Both my boys who are white worked for a landscaper and still bay hay and do farm work for their grandparents. The reason their white friends never did the work is because their parents never made them. Back when I was a teen most of my friends worked at Hardees or Burger King with one friend working at a gas station. Even the rich kids back then had some kind of job.

I don't care what anyone says, I think most of the teenagers these days WON'T or don't HAVE to work - I saw it with my own eyes! And that's a Gen X parenting issue.

Great comment! What's shitty to one person is just a stepping stone for another. A lot of immigrants also don't go to Starbucks daily, don't need cable TV and prepare their own food which is "unfathomable" to most citizens. Many here have started their own businesses, I'm guessing after working a "job nobody else wanted". - Look who's laughing now at the "job nobody wanted". Only in American can you work a cleaning job for a year then start your own business with a mop and a car. They are living the American (or Candian) dream that most citizens never have the balls or work ethic to do.

Well, some times you just speak out, I am tired of many things that is happening, I have been here for 37 years and have seen a lot, a lot.

Economy do not know if is good or bad, but I know that things are getting expensive, and it will be more if tariffs keep raising, just imagine, 50% for Brazil.... 30% to Mexico, a coworker said, "we (as a country) got over 100 billion in tariffs, I said, great, and asked, do you know where this money is coming from?, he said from importers, I said, yes, but who at the end will pay for that money?, he stayed quiet, I replied to him, we will pay for those tariffs with more expensive goods.
We at the shop started to paid for just the material we need to use, (we used to keep a full roll of vinyl, at 24 or 30 inches in different colors until we run out, now we buy it per 10 yards, or as is needed.

Have you seen what Trump's doing with ice? you're blind if you really think he's just deporting criminals. They're showing up at schools, farms, anywhere they can to report people who have been in the country for 20 years. There's a ton of mega supporters who has their families deported and they're questioning why. And you know what, as much as it sucks, and as much as I feel for people... If you're in a country illegally, you need to expect it won't last.

It's like when I'm going down the highway speeding 20 km/h past the speed limit and I get pulled over for a ticket.... I don't blame the cop for giving me a ticket and following the law...

I think American / Canada should be more humanitarian focussed. Bring in people who seek refuge... People who can't live in their country anymore due to political reasons, or 1 of hundreds of other reasons.


I'm sorry if I think bringing in 700,000 foreign workers to pay them minimum wage isn't the right way to go about immigration, all so I can get a coffee for 99 cents.
