Is that what Fox Entertainment is telling people about MSNBC? Not that Comcast is reorganizing and spinning off a bunch of networks (MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and the Golf Channel) into a new company? It's that they lied so much they were ousted? Was The Golf Channel adding strokes to Donnie's game? Hilarious.

you know what blows my mind? benghazi: nobody said anything, oklahoma city bombing: nobody said anything, momar ghadaffi assassinated: nobody said anything, no weapons of mass destruction: nobody said anything. now, someone who has never been in politics comes in and points out all of the wrong doings and people lose their shit. The smear campaign that obama set up, worked for some of these people.

It's almost a year since he was elected and y'all are still being bad losers over things you have absolutely No Proof about ?? There doesn't seem to be any real stations/channels you can listen to anymore without getting some kinda slant, so instead of trying to keep United States/America united, you feel better about driving a stake in deeper, regardless if it's true or not. You're depending on some fabricated network, anchor/broadcaster..... whatever just so you can say.... see, I'm right. Get off your blithering a$$es and either do something about it or shut the f*ck up. This whole thing is going nowhere, buy yet, ya keep beating that dead horse. When I started the thread it was with a focus on dealing with tariffs, both into the US and into Canada. Obviously this affected others as it has also impacted imports coming from other countries from around the world.
To Gino's point it has been quite some time since President Trump was elected. But like it or not the discussion has continued to devolve into a tit for tat.
As of August 29, 2025 the de minimis exemption on US bound imports has been cancelled and all commercial entries, regardless of value, are subject to a formal commercial entry. Depending upon a number of factors this may or may not add tariffs but the additional costs and headaches to process a commercial entry through a broker is going to have a huge impact on the movement of goods into the US. That being said, it will be just a matter of time before Canada ramps up its retaliation and makes coming into Canada with US goods even more costly.
As much of a pita this is an additional disappointment is the squandered relationships that have been developed over the decades that will be negatively affected. Like many of us we have family across the US. We also have many relationships that are a result of business connections that have evolved over the 30+ years. Often we'll call, chat about work for two minutes and then chew the fat about nonsense for another half hour or figure out where we'll find each other to have a beer at a Sabres game between periods.
Anyway, how can we get away from the rhetoric that has nothing to do with solving a problem and discuss developing opportunities to strengthen our relationships on this forum and through our business, family and friendship connections?

I have more coming from my table lamp than anything biden ever put out.... and that's only 60 watts.

I'm hoping that if tariffs are going to raise prices on the vinyl, then perhaps other companies will start making vinyl here in the US. I know guillermo said something about oracal going up. When I looked back and the rolls of vinyl I get from oracal (651 black, white and red), they've consistently increased 10 dollars a roll over the years since 2019. So to me, that has nothing to do with tariffs.
That being said, there are plenty of petroleum companies here in Houston that make plastic. I'm sure that vinyl can be made here in the US. I haven't researched who does make vinyl in the US. But Trump has made deals to avoid tariffs if they make it over here.
We did have a rep come in selling fetergoni (sp?) from Italy. It's a little more expensive than Arlon slx. It's a cool product thought. We used a sample of it for a vintage stripe kit on an 80s conversion. But I cant see spending the extra 50 a roll just to get a similar product.
