apparently free trade is great, when its a one-way street.

Um, Australia never imposed tarrifs. Except at a level of products that is so high that it has never been activated. Australia has very strict country of origin laws, and the amount of artificial additives to any food imported.
Unfortunately, American beef couldn't pass those tests. plus we have a surplus of it.
And to be honest we deal mostly with Asia and Europe. The USA doesn't actually have much we need.
In fact they rely on us for minerals, and food.
So why would we buy from you guys?
I don't complain if the shop l buy from doesn't buy from me.

2 different things here. First clarifying the actual illegal immigration numbers, from official source, different from what you heard from some official (far less).

that's the breaks. If you know your visa is going to expire, then you get representation and have it corrected. Here in houston, there are immigration lawyers on just about every street corner downtown. I know SEVERAL people who let their visas expire and are now deported. It's a damn shame, but that's the way the law works. Your suggesting that the law shouldn't apply because of a backlog? That backlog was created by the open borders of the Biden Admin. you seem to want to take those "actual numbers from an official source". but apparently you aren't understanding that those "actual numbers from an official source" were lies. If you want ACTUAL NUMBERS, look at ACTUAL FOOTAGE of videos of the borders from 2020 until 2024.
