Off the subject of signs. I hate it when I go to a fast food place and the person cooking or making sandwiches has a pair of the plastic gloves on and this same person comes to the front and gets drinks for people. How safe is that?.....
How about people who ask the price for 10 banners and then say -"OK, I'll just take 4"
People that come in and don't stay in the sales area. Sometimes I'm by myself on the phone and a customer will come in. I give them the one finger, "I'll be with you in one second," and the next thing you know they are walking around the production area. I'm considering putting down some floor graphics of a fire pit.
I am beginning to hate women. When did we start allowing them into the graphics business?
Ya, I frequently get the very strange request to quote on 1, 10, 100, 500, 1000 of something. What, don't you know how many you want/need? If you're wanting a price on larger quantities, why on earth would you want a price on just one?
Not receiving any kind of thank you after handing someone (in a store, restaurant etc.) money.
?????? I don't get this one, explain further?

People I don't know calling me -"Dude"
DUDE, you didn't "start allowing"... we never asked... it ain't the boys bathroom. although that's never stopped me either![]()

In the sign world:
• Signmakers who break all design rules, thinking they are better than that.
• All-Caps in a display alphabet
• Two scripts in the same layout
• unnatural colored drop shadows, say yellow on a blue background
• the same colors in a prismatic font, think of the light source for crying out loud!
• Not even checking kerning, much less spelling, before hitting "print"
• Not knowing what to charge and guesstimating rather than researching
• Wraps that focus on special effects rather than the message
• Logo clients who can't make up their mind and keep wanting more
• too many italics
• using distortion with wild abandon (usually in a prismatic font or script)
• People who email wanting a "sing" quote but who give NO details
• Customers in a huge hurry for their project, who upon being notified of its completion, wait two weeks to pick it up.
