You think Flexi will charge for subscription?

gabagoo,

have you been talking to governor cuomo?
it seems we have all become socialists without getting a vote in the matter

i would rather others do not get to decide IF AND WHAT i charge, lets extend the same courtesy to flexi.

right from the beginning this "you are an essential business" and can stay open,(like the important pot dispensaries) & "you are not essential" and must close thing has rubbed me the wrong way.

that crazy michigan governor, makng home depot put caution tape around the paint department & the garden area gives you an idea what that saying about the camel's nose under the tent means.

be careful what you wish for, gabagoo, i am sure you have only the best of intentions, i am not so sure you won't be appearing before sone half assed sort of commission to justify your pricing, essential status & ability to open/stay open in the near future

This right here.

Thing is, this affects everyone. Even SAi. If they don't charge for their product, should that mean that if we stayed open to provide a service to those around us, should we not charge given what's going on?

I have absolutely no love for subscription when it comes to certain types of software ( I have made no bones about that), but if they want to offer a discount or gratis for a time, that's up to them. It's their product, their business. Repercussions when everything comes back to normal, may be something else. If there are any.

There is always going to be something that is going on that's a downturn. Just a fact of life. It affects everyone. Some are in better positions then others, but it does affect everyone.

While I can understand both arguments, a total laissez-faire also has it's pitfalls, especially in circumstances like this. There would not be a perfect solution, it's damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Why battle it out here? If you're not using it, give them a call and see if you can suspend your subscription for a month or two? They can be reasonable. If you are using it, then you should probably pay. And if you "already know what the answer is", why ask the question other than to create more tension in an already tense situation?

When I bought my Mutoh it came with their version of Flexi. So I asked the dealer to upgrade me to a fully paid license. Cost 300 bucks to not have a monthly bill. It's been a year since I did this. Do the math.;)
