  • Artbot Hello, I replaced the damper on one's head, now missing cyan, and magenta is ok on the place where it was cyan.
question for ya. i started printing a 28 ft print 4 ft wide . now when it started the sound from the y axis motor was as normal anoying sound it allways makes. well there 2 ft left and it got super quiet.....? what the hells up with that? its so quiet i couldent even hear it in the other room i thought the print was complete but its still printing. any ideas?
Let me pick your brains little bit. Do you think JV33's printhead can be raised in such height so that corrugated plastic can feed thru? Therefore to have an ability to print on 4 to 5mm thick substrates.
Only reason I am asking this question is I think you have done something similar to your Roland machine.

    Thanks,

    Demir
I still have two more heads. The one I just removed had plenty of cleaning fluid going through it, and I don't know about the other one. Come give them a try.
Hey hows it going? Got a question about my rolland versacamm 54. Im having problems keeping the quality of my printing jobs when i print on standard mode. Everything looks good but on the darker colors but every three inches or so the color fades and it looks almost snowy through out the entire picture. The only way iv managed to eliminate that problem is printing on high quality but its so much slower and everything takes forever.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks.
i see u post alot and people listen. im wondering if u have any knowledge for a jf1631...mainly maintanece stuff like can i soak my heads and if so how...dampers clamps and so on, any help is apreciated.srry for spelling..
Dear Artbot, I see you post quite a bit on this forum. I have a small sign shop in northern Wisconsin and have a Mimaki JV3. I am having some issues with it and was hoping I could call you with some trouble shooting questions in regards to a failing print head. Before you give me your phone number, if you wish to verify who I am, my name is Greg and I own Press Express in Rhinelander. My web site is www.pressexpress.org. Service for my machine comes out of Chicago and is $1,500 just to walk in my door. Can you help?

    Greg

    Hello art
versacamm540v worked no prob 2.5 years last week then yel red mixing then ok then nothing . replaced head fuse on mobo. replaced caps, dampers, then little yel and red. Time to rip it apart! problem dx4 adapter gasget split. Do you know where you can buy gasget without buying manifold ? Tip i have used this trick many times over the years on mother boards with soldered fuses if you don't know the proper amps take the thinnest multi strand wire like ear phone wire solder one end all strands to the fuse on each end of fuse. other end of both wires seperate and only
connect one strand from each bundle and connect, if head works and pops later then connect 2 strands from each bundle.
thanks Art if the manifold gasgets are not available seperately. i will order the combo.
