  1. Skateboard Heat Transfer Material

Sounds interesting, but I’m not sure it’s the right thing for this application. BigDogPrinterMan is correct, the time/cost to make these on a flat bed would be significant. I’d love to check it out though.
  2. Orajet 3105HT

You can absolutely use the Arlon for that. I have been mixing brands together for years, as long as the specs for both media and laminate are compatible, the brand isn't really that important. I'd use Avery 1106 if you can get it, IMO it's the best for this application.
  3. Not sure how to handle 3rd party job not picked up

I agree with everyone here, call the end user. this is not even close to throwing someone under the bus. That guy got ran over by the bus a while ago...
  4. Does anyone have a source for 1/32" thick applique letters 5/8" tall

Appliqué, I believe, is a type of sewing? I know a lot of people that refer to tactile lettering adhered to a sign as appliqué though, not sure why but it’s definitely a term I’ve heard before. Do you just want the lettering cut or are you trying to source complete ada signs? You can order the...
  5. Laminator for acrylic?

I wouldn’t use calendered vinyl for this application. I usually use 3m high performance white or something equivalent. Backing with Something rigid like the pvc you mention is defined necessarily if you’re going to vhb these signs to a wall, especially at that size. If you try and tape directly...
  6. Skateboard Heat Transfer Material

I have no interest in trying to compete with China in any market. We certainly can’t match China’s price and volume with grip tape printing, or honestly most of the services we provide, yet still manage to sell quite a bit to very large companies that still prefer to buy from someone in the US...
  7. Removing wide red reflective stripes

I use a heated pressure washer and it works great. You still have to clean glue off after but it’s not bad, if you spray adhesive remover and let it sit, the pressure washer takes it off easily. The only problem is that the pressure washer works too well. If your vehicle has any chips in paint...
  8. Question Roland Waiting 24 Hours Before Lamination

I laminated prints after an hour or two( sometimes immediately) for years when I had a Roland and never had one problem because of it. Did this with a VS 540 and a VG640.
  9. Multicam vs ???

I run a Zund G3 and it’s pretty incredible. I’ve run lots of CNC equipment in the past and it’s in another league. It can cut plate aluminum, acrylic, ACM etc as well as vinyl and everything in between. Zund’s support is awesome as well. I really can’t think of a single complaint I would have.
  10. Print and install perf on interior?

Wouldn’t it not be perf anymore if you apply white vinyl to the back?
  11. Need Help Cannon Colorado 1650 thick media

Definitely use the tension bar, it will save you a lot of hassle…
  12. Need Help White & black ink on transparent?

I just purchased an HP800w and the white ink is pretty incredible, I used to use a Roland with white ink and they aren’t even comparable… the HP would easily achieve what you’re trying to do.
  13. UV printer rash

We have an employee that recently started running our flatbed UV printer and he is currently going through the exact same thing. He ran it with no issue for a few months, then one hot day he wore shorts and got some ink on his legs. He broke out that night with the same itchy painful bumps...
  14. Unique project - need fabrication advise!

Cut a flat solid piece of aluminum in the shape of the swoop pattern and the plane, drill and tap a hole for every dash, drill and tap a hole in the back of each dash and a couple for the plane, use small diameter all thread rods to connect them all together, adjust the length of the rods to...
  15. Need help finding storage container

Not really, 10 or so would be fine to take out there. I guess I’ll just make some boxes out of coroplast, I have all the tooling for the Zund to make nice ones, I was just hoping for something stronger and more permanent. Thanks!
