You have to give them something relatable. Usually find out what their profession is and try to make a comparison that way. People don't know what they don't know. The video game comparison is good though.
Okay, well seems there's more people that aren't interested than are. I'm going to be trying to get a new mic and stuff here soon and will start doing lessons. It's going to start extremely basic, going over what HTML is, how it's read, how to create it, what syntax looks like then go into...
I am curious in to finding out how many people here feel they have a good handle on HTML/CSS.
How many people don't know HTML/CSS and would like to learn?
I'm asking, just because I am thinking about hosting webinars to help people. I want to go over things and allow people to ask questions...
Probably won't do any good but I'm going to chime in, from head to toe.
Home Page:
1. Your header. Why so big? You are taking up all your above the fold real estate with this big ugly thing. Your "signs and graphics" is as big as your logo. They are competing and I don't know what to look...
Here is another training deal as well. More one on one. I thought about setting something up myself to help people with certain things within Illustrator or Photoshop...

I know this post is old, but I came across it and I actually made a video a while back showing how to fix it...

Has anyone seen this? Place the cube on any surface, capture the color and save the swatch to your phone. I wanted to kick in when it was first on kickstarter but I hope it goes into production soon. Pretty cool idea.

What do you guys think?
Send to me, I will rename the layers, group what you need and give it back. This seems about normal. Most of my documents can contain hundreds of layers. When I output I flatten and save as tiff most of the time.
As far as updates, if you have the creative cloud app, it runs and lets you know if your programs are up to date. Very similar to an actual copy of any adobe product how you get a pop up notification, or by going to help > updates. I never get notified, not even for OS updates or anything, just...
You can open the files normally. It will say it was generated by a newer version of illustrator but I have not ran into any issues. I have a co worker operating on CC and i'm on CS6. When I open the file I do have to right click and remove clipping mask and that's it. The only time you will...
MrSalumi - They released the classic Associated RC10 not long ago. http://www.teamassociated.com/cars_and_trucks/RC10_Classic/RC10_Classic_Kit/parts_accessories/
Unfortunately they only did a limited run and people gobbled them up.
I know I've asked how many people were into R/C a while back and a few of you were into planes. We have some sweet deals going on right now. We have mini quadcopters that are awesome. They are easy to fly, pretty quick and do flips and stuff. There are some sweet car kits that are ready to...
Here is how! Super Simple.

Now that I have Camtasia working again, I will do that photoshop tutorial I promised a while back. I know the final product was closely replicated...but I will show how I would do it.
Jesus, really? It's gotten to where we post pm's and keep things going? If Gino is so bad, why do you give him the time of day by doing things like this? I do agree with Gino that both are stubborn and seems like both have to have the last word. I can't believe I just read this whole thing...
Didn't spend too much time on this, although I probably should have before posting this. Let the rip apart begin. The first one I was just messing with sketching a cup on a piece of paper, and didn't really spend too much time on fonts.
I like Butto's idea. I recommend looking at "Thai Tea" on google. It's usually called Boba tea, but the main tea is a milky orange/brown with dark brown balls. All though there are different kinds of Boba with different colors. But I'm assuming that is why she want's the orange in it. I cant...
Yeah I agree - more is better! The tut is made, I just can't edit it/export it from Camtasia because it keeps crashing. I'm going to try and go back to my PC since it never had issues and see if I can get it up online.
Getting there. Maybe I could just take screen shots of steps to do it and upload it on my site. A little more time consuming than video.
On that note, people in this post - when it comes to tutorials how do you prefer to view them? Text tutorials with images or video of step by step...
