We use 1105ezrs on boat wraps all the time, and you can apply 6040 on it. Depending on how the boat is cared for and sun exposure will determine how long it lasts, but as stated above it's only rated for 2 years.

Use transfer tape on the cut vinyl, line it up on the print and squeegee it on as normal, it's not too bad.

No, it's only needed for two sided printing and it just tracks how well the media is feeding through the printer and makes adjustments when necessary. On the 115, you can print a calibration chart if you feel it needs to be adjusted. I don't think I've ever had to print it though honestly.

The take up reel is definitely awesome, I highly recommend it, I usually only engage it if printing over 8 feet at a time though.

I've been running a 115 for a year. I've printed multiple full wraps, perforated film, banner, static cling, ect. The only true positive to the 315 is the larger ink cartridges. I print quite a bit daily and am impressed by how long my cartridges last honestly.

I assume you're running the substance vinyl and substance 15 mil laminate. Substance 15 mil laminate is not your typical laminate. It's very tough and hard to cut on a roll to roll plotter/printer. You have to do 2 passes at minimum, but even then it just doesn't work well. Most of your cuts...

3510 Laminate is terrible and shrinks fast. Arlon 510 vinyl is decent and good cheap general decal media.

Good to know, I haven't tried the 170cv3 yet. I do have the laminate which is the 3M 3647. So the question still remains on the 3M adhesive part. When applied to carpet, the 3m feels like it's glued down because it sticks so well. Not easy to pull it off either.
