This is what you need, 550LSE https://www.substanceincorporated.com/pdp.php?item=9
  2. Printing bright red on our HP Latex 365

We bump up the ink limit to 120% if we want a good red on our latex. The more ink you lay down the more vibrant the color will be. Make sure your color calibration is up to date as well. A good bright red for us is something like 100%M /90%Y /0%C /0%K
  3. 3M 2080 Deep Space..... Have you used it recently?

It does have it, keep in mind that you have to "bend" the swatch and move it around in extreme angles to see some of the colors. Think about it being on a vehicle with different angles, it's easier to see when you have bigger panels and curves. Deep space is a very dark color though and can tend...
  4. Need Help Newbie Wanting to Wrap My Boat

You should be safe using SLX if not doing a full wrap. I've done full wraps with SLX and SLX + last year with mixed results on bass boats. If just doing a single stripe you'll be fine using it, just make sure to post heat via Arlon specs
  5. Race Car Wrap Printing?

Everyone uses overlays, I don't know of anyone using flourescent inks on them. We usually lay the overlays under the laminate, but honestly you could do it on top without issue as well, most cars don't last more than one season anyways so it doesn't really matter which way you do it.
  6. 3M 8915 Ultra Matte Laminate Alternatives?

Arlon 3270 will probably be your best bet if you can find some. I just recently ordered a roll from GSG. It seems to have more of a matte finish than Avery 1380 matte which is what I typically use. I was really impressed with it and will probably use it from here on out honestly.
  7. 315 printing issue - Ink, Optimizer, or Substrate?

What brand and type of material is it?
  8. Need Help Newbie Wanting to Wrap My Boat

It depends on where they are at. I've wrapped over them plenty of times before without issue, but none of them are really under the water line that I've come across. I would think it would be best to seal the gouge or fill it in as much as possible if its below the water line.
  9. Need Help Newbie Wanting to Wrap My Boat

3M or Avery would be great if doing a color change film. I can vouch for both, we've wrapped many boats. We usually only do the edge seal tape. Depending on the boat, we may use a little of the liquid on certain areas of if we feel it's needed. I would go ahead and order the full roll of...

  12. switch question

Stolen from an article online: "The HP Latex 115 and 315 are comparable in almost every aspect, but there are a few important differences. The first one is the size of the ink cartridges. While the inks themselves are the same, the HP 115 uses smaller cartridges than the HP 315 – the 115’s ink...
  13. arlon 3170 laminate

Arlon 3170 is not to be used with cast films, it's basically a higher end laminate for calendered vinyl. If you've used it with cast films and had failures, that is probably the cause.
  14. switch question

HP Latex can print registration marks for graphtec. We have the "latex plotter" a.k.a. summa that we got with the printer as a package deal, but we also use a graphtec flatbed plotter with it as well.
  15. Applying Stoneguard

Like Mike said, few drops of baby shampoo and water is all that's needed and spray the car and the film down. It should go away if it's just trapped water, but from the looks of your pic that will probably always be there.
  16. Liquid laminate

Can't use liquid laminate on a boat, it wouldn't last more than the first two trips in the water, you need the extra protection and thickness that the laminate gives the vinyl. Marine environments are very hard on wraps, no matter how much time they spend in the water. As for liquid laminate...
  17. What happened to PDAA?

With Avery Dennison training, they have different classes with different levels. Each class is 2 days. They have color change focused and full print focused. I've done the advanced color change class and you can definitely get alot of value out of the two days, I liked theirs because you get...

I worked I.T. for years, All you honestly need is windows defender, good passwords, good backups (local and off-site) and to not click on anything suspicious. That's about all that you need and all I've run for the past 10 years. Most viruses and hacked accounts are from downloading illegitimate...
  20. ISO Chrome Gold Vinyl

I would bet this is the stuff, especially being on a racecar because its cheap on price. I have a roll of it and it's very close to the picture, nice rich gold film. https://signwarehouse.com/products/chrome-polish-holographic-vinyl-by-schein-holographics?variant=32944982032477
