your mac came with an app called fontbook. that's all you need to manage your fonts. you can create sets / turn fonts on - off just like suitcase.

set your type. draw shape you want to fit into (type is behind). in .ai / env. distort / make with top object. left image shows the type behind the shape, right object shows type distorted. as noted by others this can become quite unreadable. good luck!
