I see this every now and then. Different printer and material. I had assumed it was maybe humidity/inkload related because of the rare frequency. I dont know what the problem is either. Does it show up in other colors? Try running a high and lower pass count. If the material were buckling you...
No the media compensation setting or step setting. Not sure what its called on your printer. You said every 2 cm and I assume thats the width of each individual band. If so than it could be a stepping problem. It could also be a heat/ink ratio issue since it only shows up in solid areas. But...
Are you sure you changed the right fuses? You shouldve had to solder them. If you are sure then do a data swap. Switch the output end of the ribbons going to the working head with the output end of the non working head. If the problem stays with the head than the head is bad. If it moves to the...
Hope this helps. Look at page 30.

You could always try putting the old ones back in.
Oh hmm. We use to think running verticle duplications caused the error as well. But that was before we figured out that unidirectional caused it for us. And you have to run verticle duplications because of your fence issue right? Have you tried calling prime printer services yet. We use them and...
Yeah I forgot to mention while we havent defragged our hard drive we have replaced it and it didnt seem to help with the print line complete errors. For us, running the machine on bidirectional solved the problem entirely. Is your machine running on unidirectional or bidirectional?
Is it missing all of one side of cyan nozzles? Im not too familiar with mutoh but I believe yours has a dx5 head? Are there two dampers for the cyan ink? Do they both have the same amount of ink in them?
Just curious what material are you printing on? If there was something wrong with the encoder or encoder strip the machine would be off in the same way every time or the print files would be jumbled up. Are you setting the fence offset on the (ummm) black screen side? scoll lock, scroll lock...
Great pdf. First off does the machine print consistently when not set to print on center? We never use center as it just makes things more complicated. Its my understanding that center prints the file in the center of whatever the media size is set to and not on the center of the sheet. Do your...
We always use our laminator for applying on to sheeted substrates. The video jack knight posted is a good demonstration. We usually just align the vinyl to the substrate and tape down the front edge with masking tape. When you are getting it started it usually helps to pull the vinyl forward off...
We use clearshield production clear gloss or semigloss for our uv prints. Its made by marabu. The production series used to say for increased adhesion on difficult substrates but they changed the labeling so it doesn't say it anymore. We originally used it to precoat our coroplast before vutek...
We have had similar issues with our mimaki lately. We fixed it today by removing the maintenance station and putting it back in. Part of it had become disconnected so that the back right side of the ms wouldn't raise all the way to get a good seal on the yellow head. Because you're problem is...
